The reason British cuisine is considered weak is WWII. Rationing forced people to eat frugal meals which didn’t taste great, that generation then grew up and ate the meals they were used to from that time as they were nostalgic for them, then they were carried on. In recent years we’ve begun to move away from that era
Not to side with americans, but you could do this with putting any processed at fuck food up there.
Marmite, Bovril, and beans on toast. Equally bad as what was listed for America.
