White Christian terrorist participating in hate speech. FTFY

Could you imagine what people would be saying if a Satanist did the same thing to a cross or nativity scene? I have to drive by multiple eyesore churches everyday that take up valuable real estate just to extort the gullible out of some of their money a few times a week. They all have giant parking lots that are partially used 2 maybe 3 times a week but with tow trucks ready to remove any cars that might park there outside of those times. Then they ruin traffic for miles around every Sunday because for some reason they need to pay off duty cop to bring their police cars just to help these morons leave their giant, mostly unused parking lot. And yet I’ve never once destroyed our vandalized one because I’m not a terrible person, AKA a large majority of people who label themselves as followers of Christ. Making sure homeless people can’t sleep in their cars in your parking lot while it’s not being used, just like Jesus would have wanted.

Sounds like someone let their passions get the best of them, and they got punished accordingly.

I hope they try to open up and try to understand what the satanic temple really stands for.

How do these folks not realize they are making the point that the Satanic Temple wants to be made when they do these things?

If they wanted the Satanic Temple to go away, the best thing to do would be ignore it. As I understand it, much of its mission would be done, then.

Instead it’s like this constant slow-roll Streisand Effect - we keep seeing them win against these idiots, either legally or by making their opponents look like dumbasses. Sometimes both.

Remember that those are folks who believe in the utter nonsense their religious leaders stuff in their heads.

I wonder if TST has any presence in the military. When I was active duty, there was very frequent and very blatant overreach of Christian bs into military functions; but there were also no shortage of edge-lords who entered their religion in basic training as “Jedi” or some shit just to have it stamped on their dog tags. There was also a small presence of non-Christian religions, and while you’d never see a Muslim group prayer or something at a change of command ceremony the way you would with Christian shit, the other religions were tolerated and at least surface-level respected.

…so, with the inclusion of non-Christian religions, and quantity of troops who acknowledge religion as a joke, you’d think the Satanic Temple would have a foothold in the military the same way they do everywhere else. It’d be fucking amazing if they ran services for trainees in basic!

I asked about this at a wiccan service while I was in. What I remember is that while the DOD may recognize the funny religions like Jedi, Satanism, and various forms of Paganism, they don’t have a real process for Chaplains of these religions to enter the force.

You need to be sponsored/vouched for by a leader of your religion if you would like to be a chaplain, and at least the Army doesn’t recognize anybody from Satanism as able to vouch for you to become a chaplain. So you can’t join as a Satanic Chaplain. But there was one case of a Christian Chaplain converting to Satanism while he was already in the Army. He put in the papers to change his religion, his christian sponsor was notified and revoked his sponsorship. The chaplain was kicked out.

There’s no real administrative presence for Satanism because there are no religious leaders allowed in the ranks
