In my experience, one millimeter (1mm) is enough to stop a full ton dead in it’s tracks, while also
Edit: lol early morning commenting.
"while also completely being ignored by the pallet jack when it’s not carrying something "
WHAT?! WHILE ALSO WHAT?? I CAN’T START MY DAY NOT KNOWING!
Is this your first day?
Here’s your forklift certificate.
ja…danke
Gabelstaplerfahrer
Kein Ausbildungsberuf.
This is literally an unskilled job. Except you need a certificate. Which requires
skillsorry: training and practice.Ah thanks, that gives some context because I didn’t really understand. Also, I was just tasting the word Gabelstaplerfahrer because it sounds funny when you say it fast.
German is easy like that.
Gabel = fork
Stapler = stacker
Farher= driverThe etymology of these words is pretty far out, but it’s technically the same as forklift driver. I don’t know. To me it’s the same picture.
Yeah I know, I can speak German but it still has funny sounding words :D
Don’t bother, they already got him.
Might be because lifting a full ton up a milimeter by hand isn’t easy?
I mean… You’re not wrong.
Nice I’m using that next time I get laid
Chippy boi also can bounce a 8k lb forklift with no struggle.
Vibrating, bouncing, and grinding to a halt
Oh… no… the flashbacks…
aaaand there goes the whole pallet
Explain the joke
A little obstacle like a wood chip on the ground will jam up the pallet jack and stop it from moving
If you’re in a warehouse where everything is on a pallet, they’re everywhere.
Manual forklift is a godsend for moving heavy stuff.
Small wood chip will render it immobile
If this were !lotrmemes@midwest.social, the pallet jack would be the balrog, and the wood chip would be Gandalf.
I let out a frustrated howl. Good meme!
I’m pissed it took me a few seconds to ‘get’ this.
How do I reapply?
I don’t get it. Unless it’s talking about how hard it is to eat fries with a fork?
It’s a wood chip, not a fry chip. Even the smallest of bumps is enough to cause a pallet jack to grind to a stop. Instead of rolling over the “obstacle”, the things are heavy enough and the wheels are small enough that they just can’t, so they stop. Then you have to back it up and kick whatever dust speck it hit out of the way before continuing.
Huh. I had no idea, but it makes sense. Thanks!
Forklifts are fun to drive honestly
