Sudden winter reminds me of winter in Dwarf Fortress, where rivers freeze suddenly and completely.
My poor adventurer, frozen solid as winter hit as she crossed a river.

I’ve been reading things, but my brain still doesn’t really grok it.
But the art is pretty, and maybe I’ll learn through osmosis!
