  • My brother took this exact route and its not as easy or cheap as it sounds. Even their nicest sheds have a ton of work to be done to make them livable, and after that you’ll need even more expensive work to make them up to code for your state. Your best bet if you are serious is to find a plot of land with their water/sewage/electricity/postal address already there (and a driveway or gravel road too if you can, that was expensive and took months of paperwork for some reason)

True, but postulating heteros can’t wear midriffs is a super weird take. It does come off as homophobic whether or not that was the intention.

edit: Now that I’ve thought about it, every male character I’ve seen in a movie dressed like this was portrayed as heterosexual. So croptops are actually a hetero fashion trend. You should embrace it!

  • I’m of two minds; in context these are great. Like the last one (the shining one) I’ve seen pop up in both autism groups and surviving narcissistic parents groups, and it makes sense there. Both of those groups of people have had people in their lives try to diminish them, and make them fit into other peoples needs and expectations. And a friend of mine in recovery posted that exact ‘place you wanted to be’ one. So in the right setting these work. But sharing them on linkedin erases the context and makes these seem more like the toxic positivity slogans you see the fitness gurus flood you with. So I think the real cringe lies with the original poster (not you, lemmy poster, you’re good 👍)
