  • Forget legal recourse (assuming this post is true at face value which is a huge assumption I know) but if a corporation is trying to get out of ending a human life in such an obviously unjust way, we as a society should be burning them to the ground.

But at the same time, who would throw away their life (being jailed) in order to do that, because citizens are definitely not protected in the same way, so this will just keep on happening. (Assuming this case is real, but there are other equally abhorrent examples of corporations being excused of consequences for ending human life for the sake of making money)

  • Good point, but also it’s not that they will lose all of the user data they sell if people switch off Chrome, just the parts that chrome collects.

If they were blocking ublock users from accessing any google products then it would be purely a ‘we only care about ad revenue’

It would be very interesting to see the internal data they use to make these decisions, but also knowing tech these decisions were probably made by a series of mid level managers sufficiently sucking the air out of the room until a critical mass was hit to make this happen

  • About 10 years a go I missed two flights for work because the taxi I had scheduled in advance never showed, and when I called dispatch they said 'he found a better fair, he’s allowed to do that’s

When I explained this to my neighbor who drove cabs be was still angry with me for switching to Lyft, but also agreed with the dispatch. Cabs don’t want to change, which sucks because I wish there was more competition

  • I’m not sure if what this person said is correct, but I can corroborate that there is some distant distant nugget of truth behind ‘the guvments makin da frogs gay!!’ that is actually an argument for better environmental protections

At the same time, Alex Jones has made a lot of women turn gay I’m sure and there’s no one investigating that …

  • It’s a terrible experience. You made a bunch of common mental gymnastics that are somehow supposed to justify why the patron deciding the salary of the restaurant’s employee is better than the restaurant being responsible for pay and quality of their employees, we’ve all heard it before and it’s nonsense.

But hey, if you are suggesting it we can agree to advocate for not tipping at all if patrons don’t think it is deserved.
