There are plenty of high density places (usually very expensive in the US) but not surrounded by natural beauty like this. Maybe in Europe you have this I haven’t explored extensively but in the Americas it’s basically nonexistent.
Can you give an example of such a place? The closest that I can think of is Vancouver but it’s one of the most expensive places to live on Earth. And it’s really only some nice parks, not fully surrounded by nature like in this image.
Yeah it wouldn’t really be workable that way lol
Great idea but I think I’ll do banyan trees instead.
Sadly the endangered species act doesn’t apply to garden plants or similar.
I wish somewhere like this actually existed because I would move there instantly.
Very sad. I have to think that the good people can accomplish over their whole lives will be much greater than a small blip of media coverage.
Likewise. I like to spread the good word as well haha.
I wonder what kind of structure they used. I’m also a mod mainly because somebody has to be. But my communities are small and not controversial so I haven’t had to do anything controversial either. It’s mostly that I’m willing to keep an eye on things.
However, maybe I should walk the walk and start thinking about how that might work in case they grow to the point where more moderation becomes necessary.
The Lemmy/Reddit moderator structure is a failure. Communities should have democratic governance.
On this specific issue I think everyone involved needs to take a deep breath, step away from the issue for like 24 hours, and talk to each other respectfully to work out how this should be resolved. But that is just my opinion.
What are the bull horns meant to be???
This website is run by a literal cult fyi.
A lot of it is from many articles and podcasts I’ve read but here’s a decent if long overview. https://blackrosefed.org/workers-power-and-the-russian-revolution/
If you prefer an audio format, I recommend this video (the visuals are optional so I usually listen in the background). https://youtu.be/uwU3STgBknQ
The whole series is worth a listen but would be a big time commitment.
Don’t worry, there’s no reason to read the ML rules since they don’t follow them anyway. 90% of bans there have nothing whatsoever to do with the rules.
However, I will say it’s generally good practice to read the rules in other places.
Not to defend Western European imperialism in Russia because fuck that but no one did more to destroy the newly established worker-run government than the Bolsheviks. I’m assuming you’re a ML–unfortunately they don’t allow factual discussions of history, so you’ll need to read some history outside of the thought bubble to learn the truth.
True. Politically this would be tough but if we’re restricting private automobiles we’re already in magical Christmasland to some extent.
I know some of those words.
I think this is easily solved with increased fees on trucking, which is something we should be doing anyway since heavy vehicles are responsible for almost all of the wear and tear in the roads. Right now they don’t pay their fair share of the damage they cause.
Maybe it is, care to explain?
Ok thanks!
