There’s good weird and bad weird. This seems to be going in the bad weird direction.
Doctor Who subscribes more to TNG like episode titles (like Explosion which is about an explosion): Space Babies is about space babies, in The Angels Take Manhattan the angels are in Manhattan, The Meddling Monk is about a monk who meddles, in The End of the World the world ends, in It Takes You Away there is a frog that takes you away, in Boom things go boom.
That anti union propaganda clip towards the end makes me want to vomit and not just from the content but the artificial, patronising way he speaks. Like out of the cheapest 80s dystopian science fiction movie, meant to hammer home that “these are the baddies”.
Ah, you added context. I fail to see however how you think your title was meant to convey “I thought it would be standard Star Trek, but animated so I was disappointed because my expectation was different”.
Ah, good point. Still something OP can find out by experimenting a bit and adjusting the amount where needed.
I know they exist. I’m talking about the expected profile which doesn’t fit in several places, thus, in my humble opinion, not really fitting the use case for surprised pikachu face which implies that everything is as expected and there is nothing of note and nobody should be surprised by any of this.
True, but extreme right wing terrorists seem to be more frequently what they like to call “biodeutsch” and also rarely from more privileged classes such as doctors.
I don’t see how that applies here. He doesn’t really seem to fit the expected profile so being somewhat surprised is appropriate.
Any effect should be immediately obvious, shouldn’t it? If your clothes are still dirty after washing, that’s something you can see/smell/feel. Anything else that your average detergent claims to do is luxury.
This project keeps getting weirder and weirder and less promising with every bit of new information.
Had the same initial reaction, then I gave it a second try and I was in by the end of season 1. I roll my eyes when people say “it gets better after a while” but Lower Decks does take ~5-6 episodes to find itself. (Does Evil AI Jeffrey Combs do anything for you?)
Oh come on, “dogpiling”? It’s hard to discuss “it’s dumb and I don’t like it”. That’s why most reactions are “okay, I don’t agree”.
I know Matt primarily from tumblr and the absolute bullshit he’s pulling over there so I’m biased. Thank you for that clarification :)
Which one is that, I get confused because I use neither and the technicalities scare me: the one owned by known fucking weirdo (and CEO!) photomatt or the other, underdog one?
If the former: that’s some bullshit, goddammit.
If the latter: haha, so quirky!
I also thought until just now that the other headline I saw about this actually was an onion.
Agreed. I really enjoy being able to one hit enemies that made me shit my trousers a couple of hours ago. The rats I killed for that innkeeper when I arrived shouldn’t even be worth my attention during endgame.
I don’t pronounce them like that at all but I’ve heard “john” be pronounced with a long “ah” sound, like “jawwwwn” or “jaaaaahn” to rhyme with “Khan”. I don’t know, I don’t even go here (non-native).
Yeah, that doesn’t rhyme at all in my head. I can see how it would though, I just have to rewire my brain to hear it.
I suspect this might depend on the variety of English you speak? (And non-natives can fuck right off löl)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m going to watch this the second I can get my hook on it but I’d really prefer (and would pay for) a decent MotU movie, even if it’s “just” good weird.
