The show was never at risk of not being renewed. The main issue slowing the production is that Seth MacFarlane wants to write every single episode by himself.

This whole thing is a personal fanfiction that he got money to make into a real show.

Nobody else has mentioned this so I’ll step in. There is a concept known as a “pretendian” who is someone that, despite having no roots in the culture, piggybacks on top of it in order to claim that they also suffered.

I hadn’t heard about this movie before this moment and I am negative excited for it. Idk why but the idea of having an entire movie starring Pharrell is just painful.
