I hear ya! I am typically not one to rewatch much, simply because my list of new things is quite large.

I actually heard this on the radio yesterday on the way home and it was a great interview. Makes me want to watch the next generation again

That’s just it right there. I don’t carry my birth certificate with me! We don’t have “papers” so how’s this going to work? Not to mention the huge swath this opened wide for an easy way to profile anyone, search the car, etc.

The world has lost /is losing a lot of food this past year alone. Saw an article that Georgia (US) lost 90% of it’s peaches this season, folks/farms from the Midwest and Canada either couldn’t plant at all due to lack of rain or what was planted has died already.

The dam that was blown up in Ukraine ruined a huge area of farming that has global significance as they exported a lot of grains and oil seeds.

Spain is facing over 60% crop failures and the third year without honey.

Cotton crops from Texas and Spain also at a huge loss.

I am sure there’s more, this is just off the top of my head. It’ll take a little bit for it all to show up, but we are definitely going to be feeling the effects of this by next year I’m sure.

K. B. Wagers is a great author. I started with Behind the Throne and read the whole Indranan War series. Next trilogy was the Farian War. Haven’t read past those although I want to! Her new stuff looks interesting.

I also really like N. K. Jemisin. My favorite is the Dreamblood series.

Using on Android mobile has been a pleasant experience for me. Just added a shortcut to my home screen. But, I tend to not download an app unless I have to. Years ago when I was on Facebook and Twitter, I always did it that way. I never used their apps.

I am old-ish so I am not sure if that is why when I joined, it was very easy for me to find my way around. I say this because I’ve been on the internet since the '90s and have familiarity with hunting down what I need versus it just being there in an app.

Ironically, when I started on Reddit back in 2012, I quickly found bacon reader and have been using it ever since. It is one of the few apps I do use. And I will not be using Reddit any other way so I am here for the long run.

Finally had time to watch it tonight and I thought it was great.

I feel like what seemed corny or off was on purpose. Spock is on a learning curve with his emotions/duty conundrum and we certainly felt that.

This really touches the issue with me. I think I was one of the few in my circle who when on FB or Twitter used the browser on my phone. I rarely use apps unless I have to/need to. On Reddit I have used Bacon reader since 2012 simply because it was the best way for me.

I started here on the 12th and have really enjoyed it. I just use my mobile browser and have had such a great experience. I have found plenty of communities across instances and everything seems very intuitive. That said, I am old-ish (51) and have been online daily since the mid 90’s.

I used to engage on Reddit a lot, then towards the end of 2015, I left. Started a new account in the beginning of 2020 because Twitter became a hot mess and needed something different.

At first, when I returned, it seemed ok. Started to engage and wasn’t pleased with the results. Been lurking for quite awhile now.

The last 2 days here have been a breath of fresh air. Feels like reddit 10+ years ago. I have found new communities with ease (using chrome on my phone vs an app) and finally am posting my first comment. I posted an article earlier this morning.
