Feels a little monkey’s paw but hey. If things work out then it was all for good.

The issue everyone is facing right now is we are expecting to immediately shift to a ready made alternative for Reddit in less than 2 weeks.
I mean Reddit happened over a course of 15 years. At least. Expecting to replicate the same diversity and engagements within 2 weeks is too much.
Right now the community is in ‘move house’ mode with lots of activity and excitement. It will all come to a calm once the shift is complete and we are all in our new home.
Then in the next few days… We will start hanging pictures and arranging the countertops(aka adding niche subs and improving engagements).
Perhaps what we need is a backup code or some kind of exportable file with all our data (subbed communities, interactions, yadda yadda) which we can port over to a new instance if necessary.
I agree completely.
This is more for those that might still want some minor access for the time being to have a workable solution than that awful shit official app.
I guess I worded it weird.
But some people might still want the ‘Sync’ experience first and foremost. And since Lemmy’s version isn’t there, this is a workaround for Reddit at least till it gets ready.
Yeap.
Just got Connect.
It has been very close to Sync.
Thank you for this.
I just installed Connect. Soooo much better than Jerboa and the mobile browser. Actually a much closer experience to Sync than I would have thought.
And I am already contributing so much more cause the experience is that much better. Hearty recommendation guys
Sync is really gonna be a game changer in interaction.
Half and half.
Also, growth is exponential.
Its when it reaches a plateau aka once the dust settles, how much people remain engaged that matter.

I am here now and I am sad for liftoff. It has been great. But Sync. Man.
