He’s not technically wrong that Republicans stand for the little guys???
That’s 100% wrong!
If he stopped at DNC being corrupt, sure, but he goes as far as to suggest that Republicans care about little people and I’m sorry but anyone who believes that is either getting paid or an idiot.
You do, especially if its a new game.
I had seen other comments mentioning the same and had considered mentioning that is out of reach for a lot of people but then didn’t.
Like my PC is running STALKER 2 great on the lowest settings, but if I had to run it through a VM first I would lose a lot of performance and probably dip below 60fps.
Most games people want to pirate are brand new so telling them to do something like reformat their (probably only) PC to run baremental Linux with a Windows VM for the game is just silly and unreasonable. At that point you may as well just buy the game if you need a whole extra computer to pirate it safely.
I couldn’t possibly run brand new games in a VM and I only have one computer that can even play modern games. Silly suggestion.
Excellent point but how would you do it without an app? Even if it was Open Source and for PC it would need to be sending data to a PC to put together as a legible note. The pen itself is too underpowered to do that all on its own, the pen is just the data capturing tool. It would be a similar situation for Open Source, too, an end to development could mean an end to the devices continued usefulness.
The amount of horrible shit that I remember from the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars that seemingly got memory holed is too damn high.
His defense of his stance is pretty weak as well, imho.
It feels like it would be a bit like IBM working with Hitler and saying “well he’s right on this one specific policy issue.”
The idea that he honestly thinks Trump is fighting for anyones rights betrays what must be ulterior motives.
While there are other good people on the board, it is going to be hard to get this taint off of Proton.
Okay wow this one is pretty interesting.
I actually love the idea of everything I write with a specific pen being synced digitally.
At least somebody still does since all the VAs are getting so old they don’t sound like themselves anymore.
This is all beautifully stated.
Gen X is the end of SLC Punk. “I’m not selling out, I’m buying in.”
(the ball that the millennials were sacrificing their own fulfilling lives to be able to hand off to them)
OOF. Hits hard.
I’d look at the instance they’re from. It’s a bitcoin cash hype machine and all the accounts were made on the same day and hyping each other in threads for bitcoincash. It’s literally trivial for an admin to just make a bunch of fake accounts, approve them, and then post with them.
This post is an attempt to legitimize the instance and the bots spewing hype to pump the coin.
Just check realbitcoin.cash and see for yourself.
Well definitely don’t spin up an instance and make a bunch of fake accounts all with the same cakeday hyping bitcoincash in your threads and then trying to appear legitimate by posting in other forums!
Definitely don’t do that, and hey everyone else, definitely don’t siteban realbitcoin.cash or defederate from them. That wouldn’t be nice.
Who the fuck am I kidding, defederate from this obvious scam instance asap everyone please.
I don’t know why, but it’s very sweet to see Jill Talley and Tom Kenny right next to each other in the cast list. Usually they’re separated since Jill only does minor characters and Tom is the titular Spongebob.
They got married after meeting each other as cast members of HBO’s Mr. Show. Always nice to see them actually paired up.
EDIT: Also the leaked movie is practically Standard Definition and damn Tom and Mr. Lawrence are getting so old they’re struggling to do the voices as clear as they used to.
You think private companies actually care deeply about OpSec other than just shutting down legitimate criticism?
Security costs money and that’s supposed to go in executives pockets don’t you know. Wasting it on something like security means less pay for Reed Hastings! Fuck the security, executives must profit! /s
Wut! Wut! …What?
Zitron knocking it out of the park, as usual.
I’m glad someone is pointing out that this is who Zuckerberg has always been.
Facebook literally started as a place to rate whether women on campus were “hot or not.”
He has always been misogynist heteronormative right-wing scum.
I also did not like something Newton said at the end of a (paywalled) blog about what he learned from the reaction to his piece about AI skeptics. Newton said, and I quote, that he was “taking detailed notes on all bloggers writing ’financial analyses’ suggesting that OpenAI will go bankrupt soon because it’s not profitable yet.”
Zitron deserves props for speaking Truth to Power, because I doubt this guy is the only one keeping lists. eBay executives were caught mailing dead animals to critics. Monsanto had an entire Department of Homeland Security styled “Fusion Center” for harassing and de-legitimizing anyone who criticized Monsanto or produced science that made them look bad.
I’d be way more worried about Musk and Zuckerberg themselves, if I were Zitron, we’re entering a Brave New World here. More power to him, he’s doing the right thing in the face of monsters.
This is the only reputable outlet that had anything to say about it.
They reference SemiAccurate as the source, which I have not heard of before, but seems to have a solid track record with accurate reporting.
GET. FUCKED. MUSK.
I have to say, having an all-AMD setup makes me feel slightly okay today, even though AMD is just another shit company. At least it’s not in the running to be owned by that fucking tool.
All the accounts are from the same instance so it literally could be just the admin making all the accounts.
Rules say no ads but the moderator posts nothing but what amount to ads for bitcoin cash.
It’s thankfully its own instance, which we can block easily, and it has a really small user base so far, just 19 subscribers.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s all bots, especially since every single one is a user at @realbitcoin.cash. It would seem more organic if ANY of the posts by ANY of the users were from ANY other instance, but when they’re all on the same instance, it certainly feels like someone spun up an instance, made a lot of accounts, and just started posting with them all. It’s literally trivial to do if you run an instance.
It’s also worth noting that technically his username is “andy88” (1011000 is 88 in binary) which while that’s likely his birth year, is still something you would hope someone from Switzerland of all places would recognize it as a Nazi dogwhistle and in poor taste for a username.
He might be able to hide behind not being familiar with US culture, but he cannot hide behind not being familiar with Nazi culture.
At a certain point, it stops being just coincidences.
