It can be used as a verb too, it just means to flirt with someone.

I really hope he has a good plan to pass the reigns to someone with the same integrity and philosophy.
Planet of the rising temperatures more like
That’s the industry term for the fluffy wind breakers on a microphone. They’re called that because they look like dead cats.
For anyone that thinks Microsoft is going to be in full control of the daily operations of this plant, you are sorely mistaken. The NRC has extremely strict regulations for all power plants, and I can promise you that Three Mile Island will be run to the same standards as any other nuclear power plant in the United States. TMI had design flaws that were heavily studied after the incident, and the findings from those investigations have influenced new legislation to prevent such accidents from happening again. The plant will be entirely overhauled to meet modern safety standards before coming back online, you can’t just chuck some uranium back into the core and flip a switch to turn it back on.
Fuck Nintendo, all my homies hate Nintendo
There are several factors to consider when choosing materials in a nuclear plant. For things that aren’t in direct proximity to the reactor core, neutron activation (becoming radioactive) is less of a concern. Aluminum produces hydrogen gas when exposed to boric acid, which presents an explosion risk. Certain chemical compounds can cause corrosion to plant equipment, even a Sharpie marker could corrode a valve or pipe and cause issues over the 50 year life span of a plant.
I’ve watched this video myself. There are several topics that all go fairly in-depth. Summarizing the video would be a non-trivial amount of effort and would likely diminish the point the author is trying to make, because it would lose the depth and nuance of the original.
I’m also struggling to understand the animosity towards a video being posted. Is it YouTube specifically, or the fact that it’s a long-form video? Video media has been a communication standard for decades. There are FOSS frontends for YouTube that could alternatively be used if you wish to stay away from Google’s ecosystem.
Tl;dr: I don’t think it’s reasonable to ask OP to summarize a 40 minute video that would greatly water down the original content.
Forget media literacy, a lot of people struggle with traditional literacy today
Half-Life 2
I’m too young to have played the original as a kid, but I have fond memories of coming home from school to play HL2 on my shitty laptop.
Oh I knew immediately this wasn’t happening in the US, at least at a federal level. Maybe in a more progressive state or city, but that’s why I started looking for a location.
I’m disappointed in how long it took to determine where this is happening. That should be in the title or the post body at the very least.
Cannot dismiss cookie popup and reader view isn’t working for me. I’m sure it’s a fine article, but it’s on a shitty website so I can’t read it.
I can think of much better things to do, like keeping a flathead screwdriver handy for stabbing speakers (in Minecraft)
We’ve had them here in Phoenix since before the pandemic. They operate just like Uber, except they’re cheaper and there’s no driver. You can sit in any seat besides the driver seat, and store items in the trunk of the vehicle. You can pair your phone with the car and play your own music on the speakers. Pretty good experience all things considered. The cars are pretty good at finding a place to stop and load/unload passengers, but sometimes they will drive right past you when finding a place to park and you have to walk 10-15 feet to the car.
Unfortunately for anon, Steam didn’t start doing refunds until 2015
Join a Discord server for your city if it has one. Make casual conversation with the people there, attend/plan meetups, and suddenly you have real-life friends.
I met most of my closest friends through my school’s Discord server while I was in college.
(It doesn’t have to be Discord, it can be a Facebook/Reddit/etc. community too. Discord is just the most common option for younger people.)
Oh lord, who gives a shit? Her underwear is less revealing than 90% of the swimsuits you see people in at the beach.
Why do people assume the tech companies are going to be running the plants? They are just paying a utility provider to run the plants and sell the energy to them at wholesale prices. They’re not handing out dosimetry to CS graduates and telling them to go wrench on the reactor like it’s a new social media app.
