i can sympathize with this. i also didn’t like many of the tarantino movies that i’ve seen for similar reasons. the feet stuff also doesn’t help his case.

yeah cohomology can be particularly rough. look on the bright side though, at least you now have the tools to answer this question:
taxi driver felt like it was asking the question “what if we made a movie where nothing happens?”. and apparently, if you make the main character “disturbed” enough, the answer is that the movie becomes one of the greatest films of all time.
i also wasn’t very impressed by chinatown. i remember feeling like i spent the whole time waiting for the movie to “start”, and then it ended
it’s nice to know i’m not the only one
thank you! i also couldn’t stand that movie. watching oppenheimer felt like watching a 3 hour trailer for oppenheimer. i can’t understand nolan’s refusal to let a scene last for more than 1 minute
exactly!
and i am always in favor of counting with fingers. we were given them for a reason, might as well make the most of them. counting is hard enough as it is
what was that? like $4?
i was in a group call with 6 mathematicians, and it came time to order our names in the paper we were writing. in math papers, the names are always ordered alphabetically. we had to pull up a picture of the alphabet because none of us could remember which way the letters are ordered.
oh fuck i wasn’t prepared for this. but this one feels way more fair.
my gut tells me walnut
it makes sense to me. if the movie was supposed to be about climate change, why wouldn’t they make it about climate change?
is that something people do? make a comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification?
i feel like it’s much harder when you finish a movie, and you hate it, and then find out it’s one of the most critically acclaimed movies of all time.
this was my experience watching taxi driver. to this day, i have not been able to find a single other person who disliked that movie as much as i did
this is a particularly cruel picture for day #7. this level of difficulty should be reserved for the final days of the month
what if you deleted the picture right after getting the dopamine
buried deep in your comment is a reasonable criticism of his actions, but it’s difficult to want to engage with that because of how smug and condescending your comment is.
seeing the way all these news articles about the election are being written, particularly those saying that trump made a “spectacular comeback” or whatever, really makes me think that the news organizations might be afraid of what may happen if they write a negative article about him. trump has promised revenge on his enemies, and the big news organizations might not be too keen on becoming his enemy right now. not to mention that they will also benefit from many of his economic policies
i would imagine it is. they fought very hard for it
i would like to know why the AI is predicting that there will be future states named Democraic, Wicconana, Nich Caroina, and Ohida.
solid choice. those fruit snacks have gotten me through some stressful times as well.
i wonder what the inverse of the letters in the english alphabet are. since it has a non-prime number of letters (26 to be exact), we know that some letters won’t have inverses. i wonder which letters don’t have inverses. i guess it would be pretty easy to find out if you use the standard alphabet ordering and then port the alphabet over to ℤ/26ℤ, but that’s not a particularly satisfying answer.
