I started playing GTA V with a controller, but was really confused how difficult the boat trailer chasing mission was. After almost 1 hour, I switched to KBM and finished it first try.
I still prefer controllers for most games.

Pikuniku is a brilliant little puzzle adventure game, too. I don’t know exactly when it was available for free in the Epic store.

Enjoying games is so difficult because of this. I love open world games that let you do everything, but it’s so hard focusing.

I want to finish all side quests first, but I’m forced to do parts of the main quest at some point to progress. Then I’m sad when it’s already over just when I thought I’m ready to start.

And when I try to focus only on the main quest, I don’t enjoy the game that much anymore after finishing because it feels unnecessary and boring.

I still somehow managed to play all 6 Assassin’s Creed games up to Black Flag + Origins 100% through sheer willpower.

If I remember correctly, that was the original idea of AWS, to offer their free capacity to paying customers.

Do you think that AWS in particular has this problem or Azure and GCP as well? I have mainly worked with DWHs in Snowflake, where you can adjust the compute capacity within seconds. So you pay almost exactly for the capacity you really need.
Not having to optimize queries is a good selling point for cloud-based databases, too.

It is certainly still cheaper than self-hosted on-premises infrastructure.

Coming from Germany, I don’t know if the traditional way to eat muesli is just adding yoghurt. Most people I know normally add fresh milk to it.

Personally, I enjoy my daily Müsli with vanilla soy milk (but I tend to be the only one liking that), fruit skyr (or yogurt), some oatmeal and/or crunchy granola, and most importantly, at least two kinds of fresh fruit, like bananas, peaches, apples, pears, or grapes. Without fruit, it just tastes bland.

I totally agree. And I would add some of my favorite games like Outer Wilds, Satisfactory, or The Witness to the list that look great but don’t try to be realistic. Their art style only serves the purpose of their respective core gameplay.

It’s not as complicated as I thought at first. Driving a Tesla you have most routes covered with Tesla Superchargers.

Additionally, I have a basic subscription from an electricity provider including their charging card for rare cases where the app doesn’t work. There are just 3 different types with increasing rates:

• Owned by provider
• Not owned by provider
• Ionity

I’m on vacation with a rented Tesla Y LR in Tuscany right now. We traveled all the way from northern Germany (about 1500 km) and never had any issues finding a free charging station. Just once every single parking spot was used and the charging automatically stopped at 80% in order to make space for others more quickly (and to be honest, this was due to other cars parking in the Tesla reserved parking spots at an Italian supermarket).

Traveling with kids automatically makes you take a break every 3 hours or so. This time, we just let the car charge during these breaks and had a 100% charged car afterwards. That’s about 55 min of charging time. In about 25 min you can charge from 20% to 80% using a 250 kW supercharger.

You have to keep in mind that long distance travel is not the usual use case and that being able to slowly charge the vehicle during the night is also important. Most camping sites, hotels and vacation resorts offer at least two 11 kW stations at their own rates.

Satisfactory is the first game I thought of. It even made me craft little 2D building models to plan proper factory layouts.

Exactly. Maybe I’m sounding awfully optimistic, but I actually enjoy the slow pace here. Posts can be 1 week old and there are still comments popping up after a while. It also makes interactions more meaningful in a way.

No, people still have their opinions. And it’s not surprising that the general opinion towards Reddit is not positive here since many feel not valued by the Reddit leadership.

Think of it like a free ride on a train sponsored by Reddit that records every move and conversation of passengers (users) and offering paid drinks (rewards). There are unpaid conductors and ticket inspectors (mods) who are stripped of many tools for their job. And passengers will no longer be able to choose between preferred seats or book a handicap accessible option (3rd party apps). Why should everyone continue as before when conditions are dictated unilaterally? Without us, the trains would be empty and no one would buy any drinks or look at the billboards. If you are happy with your uncomfortable assigned seat (official app) and the conductors are willing to compensate for the lack of tools with extra work, enjoy the ride on. However, I do not presume to be able to decide for the latter.

Exactly the same thing happened to me over at r/idiotsincars.

Normally, everyone there criticizes any driver who makes even a small mistake, but when I commented that the “victim driver” was speeding themselves to block someone illegally passing him, they just fell over me, ripped parts of my comments out of context and downvoted me into oblivion. They even accused me of having some kind of agenda just because I wrongly assumed the signs were showing km/h, like the dashcam, and not mph. He was briefly doing 95 km/h in a 40 mph zone. I argued it doesn’t matter if it’s 40 km/h or 65 km/h at that point.

I deleted all my comments and unsubscribed from that sub instantly, not a big deal. But from then on, I was so much more hesitant commenting anything. That was almost a year ago and I’m still shocked at what random hate and insinuations can do to you.

Let’s hope something like that doesn’t spill over here.
