The UK has something in common with Ireland that maybe the rest of that EU doesn’t perhaps?

I don’t really see how this represents any proof that these asylum seekers are illegal economic migrants. Rwanda isn’t a safe country for asylum seekers, so it seems reasonable that people would try and avoid being sent there. If Ireland now appears safer, then travelling there from the UK makes sense surely? The position for “illegal economic migrants” hasn’t changed substantially, as the likelihood of being sent to Rwanda is low. But if you are trying to reach safety, the threat of death or torture hanging over you might be enough to make you consider Ireland
I’ve been using retroarch with the Genesis Plus GX core, and that seems to work well and is open source. Not everyone loves retroarch, but I’ve moved to it so I can use some of the more interesting HDR 4k CRT shaders
Was hoping to find this here, many happy childhood memories playing this one
I’m pretty sure that is also the case in the US. These incidents are either caused by some sort of defeat device (I have seen weights that wrap around the steering wheel, no idea if they work), or people who have just gotten good at resting a hand on the wheel and not paying attention I think
Hey, DM me an email address and I can send one over.
Ok, then why does the same display work perfectly in windows? The display supports full RGB both 8 and 10 bit uncompressed. There is an open issue for this on the driver gitlab repo.
Don’t monitor shame me please. Also, the pixel density is within 5% of my 27" 1440p monitors.
Yes, the UK justice system works on the same principle
One warning, if you use a display over HDMI, then you might have a bad time with Radeon on Linux. I use an LG C2 TV as my monitor, and there is a bug in the driver that forces it to a crappy ycbcr mode that ruins text clarity. I did try all manner of workarounds like hacking up the EDID profile, but I gave up and went back to Windows for now.
It’s a very specific issue, but a showstopper if it affects you
Nope, it’s not. It’s in the terms of service. If you don’t like that, don’t sign the contract with them. Steal it if you want to. I’m cool with piracy, just not with the poor attempts at justification.
This is why I only carjack rental cars, it’s totally not stealing!
That 30fps though. I’m not sure I can do it any more tbh, now I’m at 120, even 60 can feel sluggish in some titles.
Good call on game pass though, I’ll check it out on PC at launch I think too.
I ran a 4790k with a 3070, was quite fun. Cyberpunk was a bit of a mess, couldn’t get north of about 40 even with low crowd density.
I moved to AM4 and have a 5800x, although I’ve replaced the 3070 with a 7900XT very recently.
I say there are three main things you might want to consider when choosing a mastodon instance, and these also apply to Lemmy.
The first is the native content of the server. You can follow anyone on any server (I’m not aware of any defederation drama over there like we recently had on Lemmy), but you do get a feed of local posts, which can be a good place to start when you are brand new.
The second is any local server rules. Instances can have rules around what types of content you can post (nsfw for example), and around content warnings (a lot of OG Mastodon users are really big on that). You should make sure you are happy with the rules before joining a server.
The last is the ongoing reliability of a server. I’d avoid joining anything really new or super small.
You can tryinstances.social. It asks you a few questions, and offers suggestions.
I’m currently playing through this, and it’s such an awesome remake, probably the best I’ve ever seen. I never managed to get through the original, after playing the second in the series. It was just too janky and old for me at the time.
These guys have managed to make it highly playable without erasing the spirit of the original game. I love the mixed up high poly low Res textures.
I know this title has had a bit of a messy history with kickstarters and delays, but it really feels like a labour of love, and I can see why they wouldn’t want to release it until it was ready.
Why not just replace them all with Lemmy newbie guides, or links to similar?
You could also convert cars by putting harder valve seats in, not sure if this happened a lot at the time, or whether it’s more for classic cars that are worth enough to make sense to do. I don’t think the lead was primarily an anti knock additive, more of a valve and bore lubricant
