Works with anything plugged into the wall. Software developer most of the time. Helped start a makerspace once.
Will talk about Linux, plants, space, retro games, and anything else I find interesting.
Im loving the steam deck and the amount of options we have now-days. But yeah lots of litigation.
I think dolphin is next. Followed by discords/websites that talk about emulation in general.
Given that videos are currently getting copyright stuck if just having screenshots of over 10+ year old games…yeah its relevant.
Ah gotcha. I’m on cell so it just looks unformated text.
What did you use to do so?
Nintendo seems to be going after everything emulator related. You can’t even talk about were to get emulators/roms now days because they will most likely go after that resource.
“According to an official statement on Ryujinx’s Discord server, developer gdkchan was contacted by Nintendo and they were offered an agreement to stop working on the emulator project, and while the agreement wasn’t confirmed yet, the organization has been entirely removed.”
See ya space cowboy.
Now the only place to get things are on not github. Some kind of berg with code in it. Either way GL to anyone using emulators.
Yeah my positive take is this might be a good excuse for people to think of repairability again.
Because, you know, if very little new chips being made in the near future, we are going to have to.
Well that sucks NVM.
That’s neat! I knew about the bsd origins but I didn’t know they allow other oses now.
I have not ironically used the steam deck for amateur satellite tracking before. Its more suited for that purpose than a laptop in the field lol.
Is steam deck a console? From this gen?
Either way it’s pretty good. You don’t even need to run their os if you don’t want to.
I have over 300 hours still going. It’s only if you like that kind of game.
Peglin is great.
I’m a software developer. What it does do is help you out for beginning level work, half remembering methods sometimes works out.
What it’s really good at is templates. Like build a simple MVC based on this table kinda deal. It saves a ton of boilerplate time in a semi intelligent way. What it’s really bad at is anything remotely complicated because it will forget/error out/ rely on libraries that do not exist. I have other thoughts on the actual companies and the spam they say is AI but that’s another convo.
I’m waiting for this to go on sale. Looks to be fun!
Interesting first I’ve heard of this new chip.
The CPAP lockout is something I went through. The company behind my CPAP does not allow you to get ANYTHING off the device. But there is an SD Card that you can get all the info you want from your old system. Its arbitrarily locked out.
You are also unable to repair anything on the device without insurance getting involved. And insurance is often at OEM prices (think 200+ for a basic mask). Thankfully, people have illegally added STLs/chips/parts/etc… online that you can basically reverse engineer the entire device nowadays. As long as you use medical safe materials, it saves you literally thousands of dollars. Ive replaced quite a few parts and the device is still working after many years of usage.
Im not sure what you mean.
Itch.io and GOG are great alternatives.
Nice! I hope they go down in price at some point.
If only there was a berg for code with this repo. Too bad there isn’t.
