I’ll have to look into that idea! Honestly I never even imagined that these were even vaguely related to actual Chinese desserts; I entirely assumed they were just Western cake ideas, but impossibly cheap.

Like the pizza that’s always on those burgers. Even less authentic than the rest of the stuff, and somehow cheaper tasting than even Cici’s. (Not knocking the restaurants for that; gotta have something for the picky kids.)

Probably not true about all ND traits, but many are things that exist in most people and are either magnified or muted in ND people.

I’ve never been diagnosed ND; though I had a psychologist suggest I might have Asperger’s at one point back when that was the language used, it was never followed up on. So maybe I’m ND? But I wouldn’t claim to be.

But no two people are neurally identical. Saying that someone is neurodivergent essentially has to mean that they’re far enough from the baseline/average to qualify as such.

I know there are specific diagnostic criteria, but those are largely based on determining how different someone is from typical and how it affects them. But almost every trait that is present with autism is present in neurotypical people as well, just to a different degree.

That’s not a universal statement or anything, just a vague generalization.

It’s inane to say “always has.” You can easily make the point that they’ve become pretty damn shitty, though.

There is absolutely no possible way this was a coincidence, and I applaud it.

I moved it to my new PC with the plan of copying everything over to the new, bigger HDD as a backup for all the stuff that has followed my upgrade chain since 1995.

Then I put that off a couple months, and the old hard drive died.

It’s been a few years since that happened and I’m still so incredibly upset about that.
