Epic feels like a kid’s toy compared to steam imo. Just overall less usable and dumbed down.
The tendency of the rate of profit to fall is here again. They really do need to squeeze those dollars out
14 year old with 10yoe of contributing to the Linux kernel is exactly the current IT market is looking for
Started with Mint, next tried Ubuntu and I just stuck with it for now. It’s a polished experience although sometimes snaps issues show up, so I’ve been considering switching to either PopOS 24.04 when it comes out or trying out Nix.
Care to elaborate? Never hear anything about them
Holy shit it’s Gordon Freeman
Read somewhere it’s mostly due to not enough sunlight exposure as kids. The eyes can sense out how much to grow thanks to sunlight, however in the absence of it it causes myopia.
The west has fallen, millions must do laundry for free.
This one graph really resonated with me strongly enough to post this: Note that it’s from 2006

Asked ChatGPT to tldr:
The study suggests that the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) could reach a tipping point this century, potentially around mid-century. This has drawn both attention and skepticism. One argument is about the data used to describe AMOC changes. They rely on sea surface temperatures in a specific region, and various indicators seem to align with AMOC reconstructions. Another criticism is the assumption that AMOC behavior follows a quadratic curve near the tipping point. However, this assumption seems plausible based on historical models. Regardless of certainty, the focus is on minimizing risks by transitioning away from fossil fuels to prevent potential catastrophic consequences of an AMOC collapse.
Mixing Vaseline with cotton and rolling it into small balls makes for surprisingly effective firestarter. Catches fire from almost everything (even flint and steel) and the burns with strong flame for like 2 minutes.
You’d be surprised how many people don’t even know how to do a Google search.
They absolutely should, however as with most people in power they use cars and therefore see only the traffic jams. And of course everyone knows the best solution to traffic is just building one more lane.
Workers and resources. It’s like cities skylines on steroids.
That there are almost no limits to what should you can learn. It all just takes a lot of time. Your skull level is a reflection of the time you spent homing that particular skill.
They missed the mark with this one imo.
No one uses the combat bots because they are a pain in the ass to deploy and use. I used them for a huge chunk of my recent playthrough and honestly it’s not fun. First you have to spam them out, with each of them being on a cool down. Then when running around they slowly coalesce into a small death orb thing which I have to swing around. Not. Fun.
Clearing nests late game is already cumbersome as is. Buffing nests would feel fair only if they added some space age weapons. (How will this mechanic work with quality off? And for people without space age?)
Would be nice to see some space laser thing, or maybe nukes from space? Let me cosplay Raytheon ffs.
The laser nerf will be probably balanced by quality item.
