Ecosia already has more users than Brave Search according to the few sources I could find that even tried to estimate market share for search engines that niche. They’re all less than a percent either way though, and nobody’s gunning to beat the 13th most popular search engine, especially when number 1 has 80-90% of the market according to most estimates.

Some of them even have it on all of the doors. It’s not very helpful if they hide it somewhere you’ll never find it if you didn’t memorize the entire owner’s manual though.

It was a big team that made that game. I know there were 6 full time writers for most of the development, and a pretty substantial art team as well. I don’t expect them to be able to fully recapture that lightning in a bottle that was Disco Elysium, but there was some pretty substantial talent working there. It’s certainly not a given, but it’s pretty reasonable to hope they can do something great.

Seriously though, most of the work done by good distros is specifically so you don’t notice things. They make a bajillion independent open source projects work together nicely. That’s something I’m glad I don’t have to do myself.

If they’d done something different with the same basic characters and gunplay it could have maybe been good. They didn’t though, so estimates suggested they sold about 25,000 copies worldwide before pulling it from their store and refunding everyone.

Mint is actually really good about not having weird dependency chains, and even if it did uninstalling apps would warn you about it. That is a very strange thing for people to have said. It is perfectly normal and good to have some things you don’t want or prefer an alternative to and uninstall them. Default Mint is a great sane starting point for a complete OS, and I think their updater is the best in the entire Linux world, but it’s still Linux. You can still customize it to your heart’s content. Anyone who says otherwise is just being a creep.

As for what I do, sadly its not really anything anymore. My health problems have gotten pretty severe to the point that I can’t do any of the things I used to. I really have found my people here in this sad useless little corner of the internet. Even if you are doing something useful with your life its despite spending your time in this sad little circle jerk, not because of it. Nobody ever advocates for that here, this is just a “network of platforms” full of arrogant internet douchebagery masquerading as leftist.

Excuses, excuses. Nobody’s organizing, nobody’s talking about helping their communities, nobody’s doing anything. This whole platform is just a bunch of terminally online losers making excuses for why they’re the only good people even though they’ve never done anything useful in their entire lives. I don’t care what you do, but do SOMETHING. Even if it’s just talking to you neighbors to see what would make the place you live a better one for the people who live there. Make the world a better place, don’t just wait for someone else to fix it for you.

I mean, he can be the most important founding father of modern psychology and also have been wrong about everything he said. Let’s be real. Modern psychology is still very, very wrong about a lot of things. It’s a science in its infancy. Alchemists were wrong about everything, but their work made chemistry possible.
