Loving horror stories from the west the same way people here seem to love CHINA BAD stories? I visited hexbear a while back and maybe I just happened to miss all that sort of content, but I mostly just saw things like saying trans people have rights and that war is bad. Perhaps I have to actively seek it out, since I just looked at a few pages of posts sorted by active. After that visit, I’ve thought of people screaming about how awful hexbear is as similar to people who pushed the war on drugs and made ridiculous claims like smoking one joint will turn you into a good-for-nothing bum.

I do wonder if the people who exaggerated and invent dramatic versions of what’s posted there realise we can just look at it ourselves and see they’re being silly? I guess what I really want to know is do they hope people won’t look or have they not looked and are just assuming it’s like that?

Hexbear is glaringly a false ally to Trans people.

In one breath the say they have rights and then in another they are with China that they should be killed.

@hark@lemmy.world Though I probably will get downvoted for my shameless self-plug and stance against them, you should read my post on Hexbear: https://lemm.ee/post/5751850. If you don’t have time to read it all, you should at least read the tl;dr and the Edit 1 near the end of the post.

So you made claims which you backed up by citing a nazi sympathizer and now you’re mad because they called you out on it and hurt your feelings? Are you new to the internet? I ask because those are really mild responses and you seem like you’ve never encountered resistance in your life. This sums up the whole situation with hexbear nicely. Some people are incredibly mad that people on hexbear don’t share the same viewpoints as them and also those people on hexbear might be a little mean. I don’t see why lemmy.world defederated from them, but I suppose with enough crybabies, anything can be cancelled.

And I saw exactly what happened when Lemmy.ml federated with them. Fucking yikes. I’m glad I got out of that hell hole.

Yet if I go directly to the source by visiting lemmy.ml itself, I don’t see the issue you’re talking about. Perhaps you are overly sensitive to viewpoints that differ from your own?

Of course, if I tell you to taste the shit sandwich you’ll say it’s delicious, I’m not here to change your tastes, man. You like what you like and that’s all good. But funny that you use the same regurgitated talking points all these hypocrite tankies use to justify their shit. “I just have a different opinion, you’re just sensitive” and get their panties in a bunch when they get contradicted in the slightest lol

You haven’t even explained what you dislike about that instance, you just went “Fucking yikes. I’m glad I got out of that hell hole.” and then claimed I’m the one getting my panties in a bunch. I can only guess at what the baby is crying about this time.

Lmfao. Maybe you should’ve started asking basic questions before getting testy, huh. Funny how that goes right through your own foot. Oh, and now I’m telling you that you’re the one getting your panties in a bunch? If you read what I said carefully, it says the fucking tankies who got federated with were a bunch of hypocrites and that you’re starting to sound a lot like them. But if the shoe fits, wear it with pride. But call it crying all you want, simpleton, it’s not like I haven’t heard your droning insults a million times and counting.

I first cited a nazi sympathizer without noticing this. After they refused to accept this, I cited the UN instead. Guess what they said in the comments? That the oppression of Uyghurs is not genocide.

The comments weren’t entirely mild either. Have you not seen those screenshots of comments using insults? Don’t you think it’s a red flag that such a large portion of hate speech on Lemmy is from Hexbear?

If you like Hexbears, you should leave lemmy.world and go make an account on an instance that has not defederated from them.

You cited the UN and made claims that the UN themselves didn’t make and you were called out on that too. Yes, I read your post, so don’t try to misrepresent what happened. What are you calling “hate speech”? You keep misrepresenting what others are saying and then you wonder why you get insulted. Either you’re completely clueless or you’re just pretending in a poor attempt at gaining sympathy. Either way, you could use the bluntness.

I had made an account on lemm.ee a few days ago, actually. Unlike you, however, I’m not obsessed with hexbear and don’t feel the need to go out of my way to interact with that instance (have nothing against them, just haven’t gotten around to it).

The comment I responded to was responding to nothing but the article itself, proposing that there are supposedly entire communities that just loves hearing about children getting killed. Essentially what you’re claiming is that the mere mention of something means it must be real. If I spend my time entering every post that mentions forests to talk about bigfoot, steering the conversation in that direction, does that mean bigfoot exists?
