If you’re set on surgical, it looks like rather than removing tissue in the hopes of removing obstruction, they can implant pieces of plastic that will encourage the growth of scar tissue that reinforces the structure of the soft palate so that it doesn’t collapse and cause snoring.)
I wouldn’t start taking things out of my body unless there was no other option.
Funnily enough, it’s what i have been considering for a month now. I don’t wanna snore and I’m ready to call up a doctor over it.

Also, it’s often done with a laser nowadays, which is less invasive.
Haven’t snored since I started using CPAP.
