Each piece of the cake is an infringement. The second amendment says shall not be infringed. I want all my cake back.

Again I get what it’s trying to say but that’s a false equivalency. No one has ever come to take your guns, not once. You know how I know, because they haven’t come for mine either. Get out of here with this stupid propaganda, get over yourself, advocate for proper gun education and registration. If you keep playing the all or nothing game, don’t be surprised when we end up with nothing.

Registration always leads to confiscation. Just look at Australia. No registration, but bring back shooting clubs in school.

Cars are not the same as guns. We don’t have as many people calling to ban them and they’re not codified in our founding documents.

Yeah cars have more uses than gun. Guns are a tool with one function, to kill. We infringe on people’s right to free speech when it is potentially harmful so I don’t get why guns get some mythical status.

** Freedom of speech does not include the right:

To incite imminent lawless action. Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969). To make or distribute obscene materials. Roth v. United States, 354 U.S. 476 (1957). To burn draft cards as an anti-war protest. United States v. O’Brien, 391 U.S. 367 (1968). To permit students to print articles in a school newspaper over the objections of the school administration. Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier, 484 U.S. 260 (1988). Of students to make an obscene speech at a school-sponsored event. Bethel School District #43 v. Fraser, 478 U.S. 675 (1986). Of students to advocate illegal drug use at a school-sponsored event. Morse v. Frederick, __ U.S. __ (2007).

Those are pretty shit decisions curtailing freedom of speech.

And killing is a part of the human condition. Some people are crazy and have zero regard for human life. I’d rather be able to defend myself with a gun than a knife, or not at all like in a lot of countries these days.

Plenty of people go their entire lives with out killing anyone so I don’t know how you can say that it’s just the “human condition”. Some people are crazy and you and I should have the right to defend yourself with a gun if your life is in danger but the comic doesn’t say any of that, it compares toothless gun laws to taking a cake.

You’re making a false equivalency and a slippery slope argument those are fallacies you absolute door knob. (That’s a fallacy by me, ad hominem)

And people go their entire lives without getting cancer. Doesn’t mean it’s not a fact of life.
