on the other hand, in order to troll properly it has to be something that actually gets under the skin of the intended audience and gets them REAL good and outraged, and abusing their religiosity is a deliciously tantalizing vector for ruining the day of a theocratic fuckwit. Just the filthiest bastardized blasphemy possible. They might even escalate to physical violence, as many religious zealots are wont, at which point putting them down with lethal force becomes entirely justified, since at that point they’re already murderously feral.

so it has merit. But I can’t even imagine how i’d stomach wading into such an environment even just to document the fallout.
