Well, I was guessing from the statements Iran made that they weren’t going to engage Israel directly, and I’d read several analyses saying Iran had stated that they weren’t looking for a broader conflict, but maybe it’s going to happen after all.
I think Iran was waiting for the US to cool off and leave so they could do a tit for tat.
If they go through now, it’ll be the same thing but just way more expensive since they’d have to break through both the iron dome and the US running intercept protection.
