I’m On Observation Duty 6. Who knew spending hours looking at still images would be so fun and unsettling.
I like potatoes.

Most of what I read is fiction. A few years ago I realized I had stopped reading for fun and decided to try and get back into it. At first my goal was 12 books in a year. Then each year I would try and beat my previous number. I kept a log of what I read.
As others have mentioned, audiobooks have been great. I usually listen to them while I’m doing stuff around the house. Checking out ebooks from the library also keeps me going because of the time limit. I try to get through them before they need to be renewed or returned. I guess it has helped me to turn reading into a bit of a game.
Subnautica Below Zero. Been working my way through and enjoying it. I don’t think it has matched the intensity of the first one, but I’m liking the new mechanics and story so far.
Love Triforce. It’s one of the few that I actually manage to keep up do date on.
ToTK and Subnautica for me. Probably also some Roots of Patcha. I’m hopelessly addicted to caveman Harvest Moon.
Gardening is a great introvert hobby. It gets me outside in the sun and sometimes I run into neighbors, so I can keep up with the people around me without having to commit to any big social event. I have a flower garden in the front, so not only is it a hobby, but it also makes my house look nice. Then in the back I grow vegetable and herbs, so we get lots of delicious veggies out of it too.
I also love checking out books from my library app and spending an afternoon reading with a cup of tea. It’s also free!
I’m playing Subnautica for the first time right now, after hearing it was similar to Outer Wilds. I’m discovering I have a much bigger fear of vast open water than I do for space!
Outer Wilds was such an awesome experience. I listen to the soundtrack sometimes and the emotions rush back, especially a few songs from the DLC.
I’m fully remote now. During covid I was working somewhere else. They forced everyone to go back to a hybrid model, where we were expected to share small workspaces with three or four other coworkers with a rotating schedule. There was no reason for someone in my position to be in the office. It was not ideal. After a few weeks I ended up putting in my notice and found another fully remote position. It’s wonderful. I love working from home.
The N64 was the first console that was mine. I got it for my birthday. Before that, they always belonged to my older brother. We would play together and I’d always be player 2.
Eventually when I got my own nintendo and my sister was old enough to play games, I became player 1. I remember being so proud being able to help her the same way my brother had for me. She was so impressed when I helped her beat the final boss in Majora’s Mask.
19/24 that was fun
