I’m still thoroughly stoked for this game.
Wat. There are three sides my dudes. What am I missing?
Same with meat on the bone for me. Like… I love a biryani, but it’s so much better when the chicken/lamb is boneless. I get that the bone imparts some flavor, but I don’t think it’s worth the effort and mess.
This! Health insurance is the reason why medical costs in the US are so ridiculous. Health insurance, and IMO all insurance, is a scam. And since the “customers” (people who NEED care) can’t see the price of service beforehand, there is no way for them to choose the most cost efficient option, which allows providers to charge whatever they want. Then the insurance company can come up with reasons not to pay and put the client on the line for the cost.
I use/admin Linux each and every day at a professional level and at least once a week I’m final panel doggo.
I buy multiplayer games on steam since that’s where my friends are. I pirate almost everything else unless I want to support the developer (typically small indie games or high quality stuff like FromSoft). If I buy a game, I do prefer GOG but steam can be convenient, especially on Linux.
This is awesome! I’ve been wanting to design a modular arcade and I’m going to use this as inspiration. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your MOCs, so keep it up!
If you’re doing it right, containers are less like VMs and more like cgroups. If orchestrated correctly it uses less system resources to run lots of services on a single system/node.
That said, I’m a devops/infrastructure/network professional and not a developer, so maybe I’m missing something from the dev experience… But I love containers.
Docker does kinda suck now, though. Use podman or another interface instead if you can help it.
I have never seen this actually happen and I have a lot of experience with gaming with randos (I’m old and I also started a gaming club in college that had over 75 members with at least 15 of them being female). I’ve been playing MTG and D&D at local shops for decades now and I’ve never once seen other dudes simping or fighting over a girl at the table.
Not saying it can’t happen, nerds are nerds and do often lack social skills. But from my experience (and from what I’ve heard from my female gamer friends), this has got to be a rare situation.
I’m 14 and this is deep!

But for real I love this. Reminds me of the beauty of transitional ecosystems.
I fucking abhor the rapist orange turd, but he did sign in the farm act which (unintentionally, especially unpredictably to conservatives) made it pretty much legal to buy weed over the Internet in vape/gummy form. So at least something good came from his term.
We can all be good and lit for next time when he refuses to leave office and turns the US into Gilead.
Airsonic Advanced and DSUB on Android are pretty good options since DSUB has advanced local caching options.
I aquire my music then run it through Picard for tagging which places it into my NAS where it is mounted to airsonic and jellyfin containers for consumption.
The jellyfin apps have gotten a lot better and I find myself using feishin and finamp more often lately.
I have one word for you, OP: Racism.
The marijuana tax stamp law was put in place because American politicians and voters didn’t like black and Mexican people. At the time, it was primarily used by those demographics. Now, of course, it’s used pretty equally by everyone.
This is only possible if you get your phone from the carrier, right? They wouldn’t be able to differentiate if you were using an unlocked phone you got from Google or Amazon?
My theory is that the fuckwad was involved in CSAM in some big way because his brother was arrested for it right around the same time as the shooting.
My guess is that the FBI has some reason not to tie them together yet.
Turns out the dude was likely involved with CSAM, as his brother was arrested for it almost immediately after the shooting.
From what I’ve seen, his brother was one of the only people still in touch with him during his last days.
It’s because of what you said: no motive. Crime like this is only sensational when the motive can be applied to some fictional stereotype of villain that could be stopped by new legislation or a war or whatever.
Also I think a big reason we don’t discuss this specific event is the caliber of rifle used. Contrary to popular belief, non “assault” weapons can do a shocking amount of damage in an environment where the targets can’t retaliate. See the Virginia Tech shooting.
Long story short: if it ain’t political and can’t be made political, people in the US won’t care for long.
Yeah it was the first one
Who’s going to do the regulating?
Sure, a liberal could impose sane regulation, but what happens next time the US elects a Trump?
You want Trump (or any other fascist wannabe dictator) to have the ability to control what people say on the Internet? He’s already calling to take down ABC for fact checking him!
So just like gun control (as in an all-out ban), regulation of free speech/communication is just so risky.
I do think platforms should be doing more to remove disinformation from the mainstream, no matter who it pisses off. Unfortunately that does end up leading to echo chambers when what Americans need is to hear (truth) from all points of view.
Very complex situation that AI is only making worse.
