Maybe the food ran out because Hunter was unreliable 😉

Anyone who has been a pedestrian is also well acquainted with this. Cars watch for and expect other cars, not people (bikes, mopeds, etc). The amount of times I’ve almost been hit by someone who is staring intently at oncoming traffic and flooring it without looking anywhere else is too damn high.
Have protected sex even if you only have access to non-biodegradable condoms, getting antibiotic resistant chlamydia isn’t going to save the planet.
It’s okay, the internet drought is over, we don’t have to ration posts anymore.
We’ve got a blackout curtain on our largest ‘window’ (glass sliding door onto the porch), and all our windows are single pane, if you can believe that shit existing somewhere it reaches 110+ F in the summer. 🫠
I’m half of the mind to just install the cellular shades regardless of what the landlord says and eat any potential charges for damage when we move out, it can’t be more expensive than the AC blasting like it is all summer.
Thanks for the info!
Do you know if cellular shades would offer much benefit if I’ve already added window tinting that blocks something like 70% of the IR already? I’m not against doubling up on measures, I’m just not sure at what point it’s all diminishing returns.
Even if you perfectly solve crashes (doubtful, definitely not something that exists right now), the problems of microplastic pollution from tires and emissions from electricity generation are non-trivial.
Everyone who thinks they could take a huge number of squirrels should consider what the jaws of a squirrel look like, how they were made for cracking open hard nuts, and what they could do to you if even one had it in its head to really hurt you:
I don’t think I could take more than a couple at a time, even if they weren’t coordinated in any way.
Passively aggressively forwarding this to my landlord. It got up to 86F/30C in our apartment today with both window AC units blasting, then took until after midnight for it to get down to 75F/23C. It should be legal for me to replace this shit on my own dime and deduct it from rent.
The stupidest thing is it almost certainly costs them more in the long run too, because we burn through AC units that they just keep replacing.
I ditched Ralphs (west coast Kroger) this year and switched to Aldi, everything is literally half the price there. And the produce is actually fresh! Maybe because people are actually buying it.
It’s inconvenient because I have to take the bus there and back, but half off is half off.
Really, nothing to do with the massive emissions testing fraud and associated legal costs?
God bless all the bots and brainless fucks cheering this clown into the championships of self made problems.
You can use an AI mushroom foraging guide, if you like it so much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You are way, way worse at spotting bots than you think you are.
It’s really embarrassing to speak to someone who’s almost certainly being paid a shit wage because you’re mad at someone like 15 steps up the corporate ladder. This is the equivalent of going to a McDonald’s drive through and trying to hold the cashier personally responsible for their pricing. You aren’t helping yourself or them, you’re just making everyone’s day worse.
Broilers aren’t kept in cages generally, but if you don’t keep layers in cages then it’s a lot more labor to collect the eggs and make sure they don’t just eat them or break them. So the lowest quality eggs will come from chickens that live in cages stacked several rows high, with an incline in the bottom of each cage, so that when they lay the egg will roll onto a sort of conveyer belt that moves the eggs over to be packaged.
Source: my rural ass high school had ag classes and we went to some of these places. I guess it’s possible this has changed in the past 20ish years, but from what I know it hasn’t changed that much. If you didn’t grow up down wind of some of these places, consider yourself lucky.
