I had a small car by American standards (Chevy Volt) and it felt unsafe to drive sometimes. Everyone had massive trucks and SUVS and could barely see me. I had to drive super defensively. I wouldn’t want to get into a crash in one when the other vehicles are like 3x the size and weight.
I like smaller cars and wish we could see the average size start to drop here, but I think we’re past the point of no return. I recently bought a larger vehicle so I can actually fit my kids in the back and people seem to actually see me.
You absolutely nailed it. I have no issues with what my manager asks me to use Jira for. I do have issues with the extremely convoluted UI and nearly every interaction triggering loading screens. Most of my time in Jira is spent fighting their terrible user interface and waiting for the damn thing to load.
Sync for Lemmy. 🤷
I haven’t used them in a few years and found them a lot worse than Chrome at the time. I’ll have to give them a try at work this week so I can hopefully fully switch over.
How are the developer tools lately? That’s the only thing keeping me on Chrome at work. Otherwise, I’m using Firefox on my phone and personal computer.
What? I’m a software engineer (a so-called “professional”) at a major corporation and we get the choice between Windows and Mac. Every single person I know in the company has chosen Mac.
“The bankruptcy of Lordstown signals that the days of successful EV startups is in the rear-view mirror,” said Thomas Hayes, chairman at hedge fund Great Hill Capital. “Moving forward it will be Tesla and the traditional incumbents … that will duke it out for market share.”

Any Dice game, really. The Battlefield games have always had incredible sound design.

Fool me once. Shame on Digg. Fool me twice. Shame on Reddit.
This looks surprisingly good. I’ve been pretty burnt out on the Ubisoft open world formula so hopefully this does something new. I’m not gonna get too hyped, but I’m hoping the reviews end up being positive so I can pick this up a bit after launch.
Halo 5 & Halo Infinite. Turns out, Halo was the Halo killer all along.
That was delightful.
This looks extremely promising. I’m trying not to get my hopes up after the recent string of disappointing launches… But dang. I get to build ships, explore the galaxy, build outposts, etc, etc. This really is shaping up to be No Man’s Skyrim. I just hope they can stick the landing.
Tone looks perfect. Gotta see some gameplay now!
Fascinating read. I have mild tinnitus and it’s super annoying but ultimately a minor inconvenience. I can’t imagine what people go through who suffer from more severe cases. I hope we can eventually find a cure.
I just got into this whole Lemmy thing yesterday and installed this app a few minutes ago. Wow! For an alpha I’m incredibly impressed so far. Keep up the great work. I’m a former Android dev myself and if my schedule ever opens up more I’ll be sure to contribute.
The Last Jedi.
I left the theater on opening night thrilled with what I saw. I couldn’t wait to go online and read all the positive reactions and theories for the next one… Whelp.
