The album this track is on is amazing as a whole. It’s like a musical journey around the world. It’s a beautifully cohesive album start to finish.

I literally ragequit that captcha. Mine was showing floor plans and grainy “pictures” of a room asking me to pick which floor plan matched the picture from that perspective. I swear to you, none of them actually matched, progress reset constantly because I’d invariably pick the wrong one. It provoked such a primal rage in me, it felt like I was being gaslit into believing I was wrong when actually that captcha was cursed to hell and back. Thankfully my very patient partner managed to get through them for me and I only had to do it once to get the launcher to recognise my new pc.

It’s a secret third option, I suspect. You stated that everyone is equal so (by my interpretation) they meant to show you the difference between theory and practice. As in “if you’ve ever worked in the service industry you’d have experienced first-hand that often you are not treated as an equal”.

Everybody is equal, but many assholes don’t see it that way.

Funny how using planners was an integral part to my therapy to cope with adhd. The thing is that I had to be taught and learn through cognitive behavioural therapy how to do that and how to make sure it actually helps me instead of just being another stressor.

All that to say “just use a planner” is terrible advice but not because planners are the enemy of the adhd brained person. Just wanted to say that in case anybody reading this goes into therapy and dismisses the notion because it’s become a bit of a meme around here.

I’d argue that you can’t go through a door without opening it first, even if it’s only to let one person in temporarily. Just this one time would still entail opening the relationship, if only briefly. What if Lara really enjoyed it and wants to keep doing this? What if you don’t like it and Lara does, how do you go about that?

Questions I don’t need the answers to, but you and Lara absolutely do. Up front, not after the fact! Talk it out until there’s nothing left to talk about and then revisit all of the discussed points to make sure there are zero questions unanswered for all three of you. It can get real complicated real fast if anything is left up to the imagination and someone gets hurt.

You’re quite right and your post is absolutely not giving off any level of “the world revolves around me” energy so don’t take that comment to heart my friend. I agree with the other comments telling you that there’s different kinds of weird. If you proudly identify as “weird” then I’d probably argue that your version of “weird” could probably be described as “non-conforming”, “alternative” or “unorthodox”. The version of “weird” that is used to attack someone like Trump or his cronies is meant as “creepy” or “unhinged”. Basically it’s meant to take the wind out of the sails of a bunch of elitists trying to pass themselves off as some kind of man of the people by calling attention to the fact that they are not the strong average Joe they try to present themselves as. No need to feel like you might be mistaken for one, that shoe doesn’t fit you and you can probably trust that everyone can see that.

I lost some respect for jables here, the way he’s seemingly throwing Kage under the bus… But at the same time I can recognise that JB has always tried to keep up a positive persona. Not apolitical but he’s never been the type to promote violence directed at specific people. Kyle did him kinda dirty by doing something to potentially harm that (assuming he was truthful when he said he was blindsided by it, and not just saying that after it blew up in the news).

Not saying Kyle is wrong and Jack is right here, though. I’ve always felt a little bad for Kyle that Jack put tenacious D and therefore Kyle on the sidelines when his Hollywood career took off. Kyle was rightfully quite jaded about that and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s led him to doing this without considering the possible consequences for Jack.

The whole thing sucks for both of them, I guess.

Off the top of my head: right click the task and hit end process. That has literally never failed me. Back in windows XP it might sometimes not actually kill the process but then there was always the “kill process tree” button to fall back on.

So, nobody got paid to make that.

The point of that meme as I took it is to illustrate the uncertainty women face when it comes to the intentions of (strange) men. The bear, an actual killer, at least is predictable. Not a criticism of your hot take btw, just sharing my thoughts on this meme.

I don’t remember a friends episode about this either. I do remember it being on how I met your mother though so possibly the person you’re replying to was thinking of that.

My guess would be the TV wasn’t in ‘game mode’. Which is to say it was doing a lot of post-processing on the image to make it look nicer but costs extra time, delaying the video stream a little.
