You, my friend, have to read up on super PACs
You, my friend, have to read up on super PACs
During COVID I was shown how easy it was to work from home. Now everybody is back at the office again, because they said it is so important to have the personal contact with your peers.
Now I know about my coworkers bike tour and about another’s gardening project. And all I had to give up for that is about an hour of additional sleep and the money and resources that goes into my car.
Insanity.
It’s the poster child of vapid consumerism. Pseudo-deep “words of wisdom” often bought by the most shallow people you can think of.
It’s the battle cry of the suburban Karen, the mantra of the soccer mom.
Often combined with the consumption of rigorous amounts of wine and sings declaring how hilarious this socially accepted alcoholism is.
This opening move is called “The Russian Statesman”. Very traditional.
Even if done “right” privatization is the wrong choice for a lot of things. Like everything that should be a service for all citizens: postal service, health care, water, electricity, …
When greed is introduced into these services people will suffer for it. Just look at all the examples of privatizations and show me where the outcome was positive for the people.
They have been researching this since the 80s and the only thing that they sell is their dog drone? No humanoid drones for sale?
And it seems like the AI robot research groups are speed running the whole process.
Still, interesting stuff.
Well, the only thing that could reasonably help us would be to demolish the 1% and the corrupt politicians who support them. And yes, that would include an armed uprising.
Not that that I see that happening unless it gets much worse. We still have (some) bread and games left to pacify the masses.
With a sigh he cleans the up the tally for the 7th period. “Can’t call it near death anymore”
Depends on the job, but I think more like 5 figures. Still enough to live comfortably, but of course not enough for these greedy fucks. The reason so many are millionaires is not their salaries.
Okay, I am convinced: from now on I am completely against the marriage of same pole magnets!
AI is a tool that makes us X% more productive (X is still debatable and bound to change)
But instead of making our job X% easier or let us earn X% more, work X% less, corporations are hellbent to fire X% of the workforce because that makes the most money.
Open source? Not the best currently available models.
As if that wasn’t what they were aiming for the whole time.
You can abort till the 22 week in Germany.
Yes, they aren’t there… Yet.
Ah, yes - the typical “I don’t like it/it’s too much of a hassle for me therefore it is useless for everybody.”
Same thinking pattern that prevents the USA from adopting the metric system: I like the old system (because I grew up with it and don’t want to learn something new) therefore the new system is bad.
These people should really try to be a bit less egocentric. Is it so hard to recognize that the world doesn’t revolve around you?
