The image quality isn’t amazing but if you zoom in you can see there are trees planted, they’re just small so don’t show up well.
This post itself is mildly infuriating as I can’t tell what’s wrong in the picture!
A lot of car parks are becoming like this. It’s especially frustrating when you try to download the app but you have no signal and there’s no other way to pay.
Ah right yeah that makes sense
People get pissed at airports because they’re on holiday mode with their mates, it’s part of the holiday to have some beers at the airport. It’s these kind of passengers that will be the issue, it’s nothing to do with the design of the airport.
Why does someone need to be home for that? Can’t they leave it outside or around the back somewhere?
They can make it as clean as they like, but the moment passengers are on board the cabin is hardly a hyginic place to be preparing food.
And it’s a behaviour that stems from the admins who’ll ban users from the entire instance if they disagree with their opinions.
It’s the only instance I have blocked at my account level so I don’t see their communties.
On the plus side you can bleed out knowing they now have to spend all that time and effort trying to find your valuables.
They won’t care or won’t even notice these things. They’ll open their laptop, book a holday or find some new car insurance or write a report of whatever and not even think about what the OS does. Unless they’re someone who is already extremely sensitive over privacy of their data, you’re not going to convice the average Windows user to switch to Linux.
When I was younger I used to use Ubuntu as my main OS for years, tried Arch for a bit - then went back to Windows. I haven’t got the time or energy to be fucking about with things like that anymore.
Windows is for people who’s life or personality doesn’t reolve around their computer. It’s just a tool to get things done and that’s it.
Looks like they tried to set up a shell corporation, but left behind a silvery trail of evidence of tax avoidance.
I suspect most BMW owners won’t care too much. Like they’ll find it annoying but still buy/lease the car anyway.
That and Inbox were peak Google.
I do find the way he works kinda strange. He’s of course entitled to work how he pleases but I think just some communication with the community would be appreciated especially as people are paying a subscription. Just pin a thread to say “I’m going to be away for x months, but I’ll still be working on the app.”
I’m surprised too by the “big bang” approach to doing huge releases, when deploying small incremental changes is the favoured approach in the software development community. You can keep providing value and fixing bugs whilst getting constant feedback.
I paid for the Reddit version but I’m glad I didn’t pay for the Lemmy version.
I was responding to the “What’s the most boomer complaint you have?” - not complaining specifically about the abbreviations in the screenshot.
People abbreviating random words when there’s literally no need to.
(perfectly working) android phone that I had had for 6 years. The phone brand was not providing android updates for it.
I get it through from the banks perspective. The OS is no longer getting security updates, so this is a fault of the phone manufacter for not having a long term commitment to security and OS updates.
And the app itself required a code that I could only get by SMS.
Yeah this is pretty bad.
And I will be stuck with them for decades.
Why’s that? I have my mortage through one bank but literally never use the actual services of the bank, I’ve never called them or used their app or logged into the site. My current account and savings accounts are with another bank separate to my mortage provider.
Also, won’t you be able to change when you come to re-mortgage if another bank offers a better deal?
It’s not like you have to upgrade your phone every year. People are on different upgrade cycles in which these devices will be a big upgrade.
