That’s all a sign of just how sick our society is. We can treat mental health, we can offer higher quality education, by doing so, we give a person the opportunity to elevate their socioeconomic status. These are largely key factors in criminal behavior. But instead we just lock up the criminal, because it’s cheaper. We can’t fix our society until the government stops prioritizing profit over health and education.

I wouldn’t say “very ugly.” I think it looks fine, especially for a game that’s been in development for 11 years.

It has a lot of jank, but considering what the game does, I think it does it exceptionally well. Especially considering you can pretty much count the number of open world, randomly generated zombie apocalypse games on one hand.

Incorrect… The storm actually ends after you get the Varia suit and the music turns from dark and brooding to more heroic.

Yeah, I skipped Pascal, but it at least makes sense when you look at it. By the time my family finally jumped over to PC, C was more viable. Then in college, when I finally had to opportunity to formally learn, it was just C++ and HTML… We didn’t even get Java!

I tried decades ago. Grew up learning BASIC and then C, how hard could it be? For a 12 year old with no formal teacher and only books to go off of, it turns out, very. I’ve learned a lot of coding languages on my own since, but I still can’t make heads or tales of assembly.

That’s about what I paid for it I think. Got way more than $8 enjoyment out of it for sure! Here’s hoping it works again!

From what I was able to find, Gearbox is fixing it/has fixed it? Depending on the price, I’d probably buy it and sit on it if it doesn’t work yet. The game has always been a little janky, but it’s crazy fun.

Never timed, I don’t have it in me. I love the Castlevania series though. Was just trying to derust CV1 the other night. I used to do race streams with the same guy that edited that video. Always lost, but I could at least do all the damage skips. My timing’s way off now. More of a fan of the Aria games. AoS randos are like my go to boredom game.

My only timed run is Blaster Master. I used to do stuff like Super Metroid old route, Bionic Commando, Kabuki Quantum Fighter, Strider, etc for fun, but never actually submitted.

I’m a residential counselor. Basically what someone else described, I work with people out of the hospital to reintroduce them into the community. I teach life skills, coping skills, appropriate behavior, that sort of thing.

My clients are middle functioning adults, primarily male, right now 30s and up. Think a grown man, but with the comprehension skills of a middle schooler or lower.

Lot of patience, lot of repetition, lot of getting yelled at, hit occasionally. Fun times.

Never fails to amaze me how so many people don’t understand basic food storage.

My clients, constantly: “What do you mean I can’t just throw this open bag in the fridge?”, “What do you mean, ‘foil isn’t airtight’?”, “I don’t know how long it’s been in there! What do you mean it expired a month ago?” and my absolute favorite, “You can’t throw my moldy food away! You owe me money for that!”

My best guess would be that they’re trying to get ahead of the recompiler scene before it catches a bigger foothold. But also, that lumps in the entire rom hacking and fan translation community, which I’m sure they view as perpetuating the piracy of their games.

They definitely remembered the consummate Vs, but didn’t get the the S and more different S right. Also, that’s a stubby claw more than a beefy arm.
