Don’t think I’m even close
Probably Terraria

pixelfed.org might be what you’re looking for.
I think it’s far down on their list of things to do unfortunately.
Self hosting (on Jellyfin, etc.) the content you want is probably the best way to watch stuff on mobile, but not sure it fits your use case.
Tried audiobookbay?

Really should have read your edits before clicking those links.
Is there something similar for android? Used to use amaze browser but don’t know there’s better options out there.
Yesterday I saw a beehaw (I think) community thread which got locked by the beehaw mods but because it was federated ppl on other instances could still comment. I think !selfhosted would be still be up on your instance if lemmy.world went down.
It would be more hurtful to not use reddit at all. Lower user count will mean less advertisers willing to pay for their ads on reddit.
I think if someone else in your instance has subscribed to a community on that other instance, then you should be able to search up your desired community in the app itself. Otherwise the url needs to be something like myinstance/c/newcommunity@otherinstance, that will let you browse to the community from within your instance and then you can subscribe.
