professional star trek fan, I also like other things like star wars, doctor who, and dnd
part-timer at memory alpha, canon aficionado and lore connessueur
I’ll generally only follow back accounts which are trek or fandom/pop culture-focused from this account - nothing personal!

@Anglophyl @daystrominstitute @startrek of course not, this is primarily a star trek account afterall
@dan I’m holding out hope that they’ll do a recast of Kor, Kang, and/or Koloth and show them with flat foreheads, and then have L’Rell show up with the s2 Discovery look.
well, perhaps the Farragut is on the other side of the Federation, and the foreshadowed conflict with the Gorn might play out in some way where they end up not going very far into that region of space?
(Is this the aforementioned mental gymnastics?)
@Dalakaar @ValueSubtracted I’m definitely wondering what the angle is with the Klingons and their look. We even got Discovery footage in the recap
Happened before for sure in Trek with recurring stars
I’m not sure if it contradicts Arena so long as we never have a face-to-face confrontation with adult Gorn.
We know by the 2380s the Gorn are on better terms with the Federation, so it would be cool to somehow flesh out Gorn culture even in SNW.
@GuyGamer234 I love “Future’s End” from VOY and “Past Tense” from DS9.
I get where you’re coming from – but truth be told my issues with new star trek aren’t actually that Discovery is too “boom boom boom”. If DIS is that, then so is Wrath of Khan, so is TNG The Best of Both Worlds, so is the best parts of DS9.
Then again, maybe you include Star Trek II in “movies”. In which case, I respect the consistency.
