Show them you can export the passwords and print them. It will help them to make the switch to know they cannot lose everything because it is on paper. It is what helped my parents

I realized I was anxious about climate change because I was depressed and not the other way around. I cannot change the world radically but I can do my part, convince others to do the same, vote for the right politicians, pressure companies and politicians to act for climate change… In a nutshell I can do a lot and being depressed or anxious doesn’t help
Staying child-free is likely the most effective personal decision you could make to reduce your environmental impact.
How do you reach this conclusion ?
I had a two laptop: one main for gaming and a shitty computer for school. I had to code on python. It was easier to setup on linux. I liked KDE. I installed kubuntu on the laptop for school.
As soon as I stopped playing videogames on my main computer I went for linux definitely
Edit: it was 10 years ago
Yes. You already know that.
As an aside, I love that they have to stick the “worlds second largest economy” line in, despite by every metric China being the worlds largest economy.
For those like me who didn’t understand: China is the first economy if we rank them by GDP PPP. USA is the first by nominal GDP. So depending if you use the definition of the WTO or the IMF, China or the USA is the first economy. But, what is funny is that even IMF says that the USA is the first economy and Chine the second. That doesn’t fit their own figures
Yeah, I don’t understand either. Why isn’t he happy to be able to see his family more often? It is great news for when his parents age and when he will have kids
The simple answer is that my favorite country is where my employment and loved ones are
Same for me
Thanks for the tips! It is motivating me actually :)
Thanks for the source
It is reassuring:
Secondly, the world corporate media completely distorted one of President Maduro’s phrases that if he lost the election there would be ‘a bloodbath’. What he meant was that the government programme of the extreme right was so brutal (wholesale privatisation of just about everything under the Venezuelan sun, including oil, gas, education, health, elimination of all social benefits and so forth) that would inevitably bring about a social reaction similar to the one against Milei in Argentina, thus leading a possible right-wing government in Venezuela to resort to force and repression, hence the President’s use of the term “bloodbath”.
I tried ubuntu touch. Not having any banking app was a pain. I was not successful in using signal. WhatsApp is also very used around me. So I gave up.
I wanted to degoogle so I tried iOS. It is absolute garbage.
I think /e/OS, GrapheneOS and CalyxOs are the best to use right now. I might buy a fairphone with /e/OS despite the price when I will change phone, because I do not want to buy a pixel
Not at all. Several countries are debating whether they should work with the talibans to fight ISIS or not
Example of the USA: https://www.nbcnews.com/investigations/biden-admin-weighs-cooperation-taliban-counter-isis-k-rcna159789
Edit: the Wikipedia page is way more detailed than I expected (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_State–Taliban_conflict)
How did you learn so many languages?
Effectivement, ta grammaire est bonne :)
How do you learn kanji?
I lived for some time in Japan so I learned to talk and to read the kanji useful in the everyday life (like in the restaurant or the bus). But I feel like reading the news is still too hard and I do not even know where to start.
Yeah, it is the hardest thing when learning a new language. When you learn a new concept that your language doesn’t use. For example, in Latin, German and Japanese, the grammatical case is very important but totally irrelevant in French and English. So I try when I speak French or English to think about the case. That way it comes more naturally to me when speaking German or Japanese.
So you think that he cheated and is trying to steal the election? If true, why would he stop now?
Two of Maduro’s closest allies — the leftist presidents of Brazil and Colombia — have recently joined a chorus of nations, including the U.S., that have expressed deep concerns about Sunday’s presidential election, which Venezuelan electoral authorities said the president won by seven points.
I shared this article because of this. Lula supported Maduro before the election but asked Venezuela to release the detailed count of the votes. And Venezuela has not done so yet.
The opposition claims the election is rigged and the tension is high.
Maduro warned that a bloodbath would happen after the election if the opposition didn’t accept his victory.
The situation is worrying for the Venenzuelian people. But you say that how they present the situation is pure propaganda. Do you have a better link?
Thanks for the detailed answer. Interestingly it is pretty similar to the idiomatic way to say it in French. Except for the “so”
He talks about it in this video (the video this thread is about)
