I thought the halo ce was generally very well received. Is the hate for it a lemmy generation thing?

This sounds like an interesting hobby? Care to share more about how/why you are into dumpster diving for lightbulbs?
I agree, but at this point it kills the value for me. Why am I paying for the game and a monthly subscription?

I probably just wouldn’t use lemmy as an indicator of popularity/activity levels.
I think you’re missing that lemmy is a pretty tiny slice of the internet and niche(ish) communities either don’t exist or are mostly inactive. Just because something doesn’t seem to be making waves on lemmy, doesn’t mean it isn’t popular. The community for it just isn’t really here (yet).
I installed Linux mint on my laptop the other day because of various sustained long term annoyances with Windows. Despite some minor hiccups it only took about 30 minutes. It’s been such a great experience so far.
About 90 percent of my nostalgia is reserved for Halo. GD I miss those days.
My wife and I had to have her 2013 Nissan rogue transmission replaced last year which cost $7k, so I disagree on your point about reliability. -___-
In all seriousness though, I always had the impression that Nissan was known for being the least reliable of the big 3: Toyota, Nissan, Honda
Anecdotal, and I agree with you overall, but I hit the gym hard (2-3 hour jiu jitsu/MMA sessions) 4 times a week for 3 months and lost 18 lbs. I didn’t change my diet at all, though I will admit it’s possible I ended up eating less overall. But my point is I think exercise can definitely be a pretty good weight loss tool if you’re working your ass off. Just depends on the amount of exercise and the intensity etc.
At the AMC near me it’s $15 for a large popcorn and drink with unlimited refills. Not horrible since my wife and I share. But I only go like once or twice a year if there is a movie we want to see enough to make a night of it. The nostalgia of being in a theatre is pretty much worth it alone for me. It’s a pretty good time.
Well if you haven’t heard of it then it surely hasn’t happened and is no threat at all!
Have you every heard of the method of cooking called frying?
Where I am I can consistently get bogos that make the premium frozen pizza brands about $5 per pizza. There are also cheaper store brands that are $3-4. Definitely cheaper than dominos/Papa John’s. Especially since they’ve raised there prices considerably in recent years as well as stopped offering the kinds of deep discount specials and deals they used to offer.
Cats are not a monolith. They have a wide range of personalities and emotions. I have a cat that is very emotionally needy, not very unlike many dogs. He needs attention and pets and lap time.
God bless you please keep this up
Nah whats happening on lemmy is more like, “we’re all fucked and there’s nothing we can do about it and fuck you for having any optimism” ad infinitum. I’m advocating for finding someone or something to stand behind and fight.
I’m sure you can find something. Or you can whine more and do absolutely nothing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The cynism on lemmy is so wild. Get major Denethor vibes from some of you edgelords
Ok boomer let’s get you to bed
99 percent of “office chairs” are the same poorly constructed garbage that “gaming chairs” are. Actually good chairs are 400-1000+ which most people cannot afford unfortunately.
