I personally haven’t had this issue, but I can’t say it’s not, or not going to be, affected
It’s great in that aspect to have an ambush tactic on enemies that come into the room. Not useful for all things, but it can be useful, like any wand.

Stone of blink to blink onto it, if you have enough health then you only need one after you pick up the ration
Timekeepers hourglass to do the same as swiftthistle
Ethereal chains to move to it
Reclaim trap item to remove one of the traps
Yup I’m also an “if only they apply themselves” person.
For me enemies mostly moved around me about 80% of the time and spawned enough to get the amulet to green. The rat king armor definitely helps on a couple levels with ranged enemies that noticed me. It was most likely thanks to the ROA I had too
