We will see! It is very possible that the high heat and the tropical storms in the pacific will trigger the monsoon flow. Everybody wash your cars ;)

Costa Rica is a beautiful and wonderful place. People are so warm and amazing to be around. Where did you meet this noble beast?
100%, 12 year daily reddit user - feels like I’m out of a bad relationship. I moved all my third party apps off three weeks ago and have replaced all my time with Lemmy and the Fediverse.
I didn’t realize how poorly the experience had degraded - scrolling content mindlessly, most interactions were dull and sometimes weirdly antagonistic.
Conversely, my experience on Lemmy has been interesting content with more depth, connecting with people in a warm and welcoming way. I don’t expect this to become reddit - I wouldn’t really want it to.
I am excited for a future here as the third party apps are removed last this week and we can start a new adventure together.
the #17 most watched movie on AppleTV is Titanic… I was surprised haha
this reminds me of the days of ice soap chili
strangely motivational on Thursday afternoon
The other thing is why this timeline? I think it’s because of the downgrade of the valuation on the IPO.
It seems like there are investors and other forces plus the absolutely awful communication and leadership from Huffman.
They are in this spot where people who don’t seem to understand Reddit are making decisions about it.
Even if this doesn’t “kill” reddit, the decision making has been very obviously hostile toward its users and future.
believe it or not, reddit was a lot like this 12 years ago. I have found people are a lot kinder and warmer here than reddit had become. Welcome!
do you have any more info on how to get started with this? I have no desire to go back but would love to know how to loosely lurk like that
Could not agree more with you. This has been a very positive experience and has really add transitioning away from Reddit a smooth experience
the iOS app experience is clean, it’s still less functional than desktop but I feel like that’s expected.
