I don’t think the hesitation is with the developer of Sync. I think he is worried about the sustained success from Lemmy. If people keep staying active, more people will join. But it could also fade away quickly (I hope not).

1. It shouldn’t but I wouldn’t put it past Microsoft. That said, all it does is notify me that Windows 11 is available and ready to download/install. It is a button above the check for updates option.
2. AMD previously had some issues with TPM installed that caused stuttering on games. That was on the AM4 platform and has since been resolved. Not aware of any other issues.
3. No idea, try asking in a community specific for that game. Might get better answers for that.

You could turn it into an external hd or install it in new laptop (assuming you have an extra bay).

You are correct about the mod part. I’m a mod on a community outside of lemmy.world. Haven’t noticed any missing features.

Emulation is a beautiful thing. Especially with that game. Wish the switch had more power but my PC does the trick!

I had to move Sync off the homepage of my phone to avoid the muscle memory of just clicking it mindlessly. I have caught myself once or twice wanting to type it into the URL.

This is a tough one for me. If it was just the API changes I probably would have been hesitant but would have returned. As long as old.reddit still worked I probably would have used that.
BUT… the AMA spez did hurt those chances. He could have avoided dragging the Apollo guy through the mud. So as long as he is there, tough to imagine I will be going back.
