He’s also canonically in the chain of causality that determines whether or not 9/11 happens in the Muppet universe. I don’t know if that’s a positive or a negative for the point being made.

Like, even ignoring Musk’s whole everything now, it’s just one of the ugliest vehicles ever designed. Regular Teslas at least look okay if you ignore Musk himself, but the cybertruck looks like they just took a particularly untalented 1st grader’s drawing of a vehicle and just went “Make that”
Apparently that’s legit a problem when a character like Elmo or Kermit shows up in real world interviews, Muppeteer disappears into the role so well the person they’re talking to will seemingly forget, mic up the puppet, etc.
Some of those 7.25s will technically be even lower, that’s the federal minimum that will apply to pretty much all jobs, but they still have it on the books that if they could, they’d fuck you over even harder. Georgia’s for instance is 5.15 which can come up in some niche circumstances, and some don’t even have a listed minimum
It’ll sometimes randomly pop into my head that Xanatos’s first name is David. Fucking David and Goliath
The other big chunk is people who have the same or a similar name. Like “It says here David Jones died five years ago, but David Jones voted today. Suspicious?” “Dude, I’m David Jones Jr. The David Jones who died was my dad, David Jones Sr. Dick.” Or whatever.
Depends on the state. Looks like Carter is registered in Georgia. According to an article from 2020 when Republicans were bald face lying that long dead people were voting a lot, someone from the Georgia Secretary of State’s office is quoted as saying secrecy rules don’t allow rejecting a ballot when a voter dies before Election Day.
“You can’t go back and get that ballot back out. It’s just physically impossible, given the privacy rules in our state,”. May or may not still be accurate, or may have never been accurate, but that’s what the first article I found when searching says.
Yep. Context is the whole Springfield thing, Vance referred to the Hatians legally there as illegal immigrants, he was corrected, then his response basically amounted to ‘But I don’t like the method they’re using to be here legally, so I’m going to call it illegal’
And then Vance is President? I’m not sure that’s better, all the same horrible views, somewhat more coherent, has no idea how a human behaves, is on the record that if he’d been Pence he’d have helped with the coup
Celsius and Fahrenheit agree on -40, but since they’re scales that scale at different rates there’s bound to be some value where they intersect rather than some meaningful number like Kelvin and Rankine being zeroed to Absolute Zero
Could theoretically simulate one by having a bot mod automatically delete all posts by certain users. No clue if that or any other sub actually does so, but who knows
Similarly, the Guinness of the beer and the Guinness of the book of records are the same Guinness. Michelin started as a tire company when there were only approximately 4000 cars in all of France, their home country, and started the restaurant guide as a way of increasing demand for travel, and therefore cars, and therefore tires for cars. Guinness the brewery started the list of records as something to keep on hand to settle arguments in pubs
Can confirm, my ISP is fiber out in a rural area, run by the rural electric company from a couple counties over and it’s pretty decent. Not top of the line stuff, offers either 100 megabit or 1 gigabit symmetrical for a home plan, but it’s much better than the fixed point wireless that was the best previous option and maxed out at 100 down/20 up for the highest tier plan, and that was only if you could get clear line of sight to the transmitter (Would sometimes go down if it was raining hard or it was windy or something as something could block line of sight or misalign the transmitter/receiver on one end of the connection or the other)

Texas, Taxes, anagram. Coincidence? Probably
Musk should likely have all his storage media searched, just randomly accusing people of things like pedophilia for no reason is often projection, “don’t look at me, I clearly can’t be one as I’m the most vocal about being against them, look over here instead” or whatever
And Clark Kent and Superman have massive differences, not just the laughed at glasses thing. There’s things like changing his demeanor, the fact that Kent is several inches shorter because he both slouches and uses his super strength to compress his own spine with his back muscles, constantly slightly vibrates at super speed as Superman to soften his features, etc
Had a similar issue once and it turned out to be a powered USB hub backfeeding and putting the motherboard into an odd power state, only figured it out when I noticed a status LED remaining on after I physically unplugged the main power for the computer. May be worth unplugging any hubs you may have to rule that out
Fact that a fucking Cheney was on the kind of sort of reasonable by comparison if you squint side of the Republican party and basically got chased out for it is wild.
2002’s “A Very Muppet Christmas” is an “It’s a Wonderful Life” style movie where Kermit temporarily wishes himself out of existence and is allowed to observe the resulting timeline. Shots of the Manhattan skyline in the main universe show no Twin Towers as expected, but there’s a shot that clearly shows them in the background outside alternate Piggy’s window. Wasn’t an intentional bit of canon, just an little detail that arose from the set designers not realizing the Towers were in that old window backdrop they used, but the implication is hilarious
