Hands you a random laptop.
“The thing doesn’t work.”
Refuses to elaborate and leaves.
I bought an LG microwave a few months ago to replace a dead 10 year old Sharp. My favorite “features”:
When I returned it they customer service person asked if I wanted it serviced under warranty – hilarious. Bought a Panasonic instead.
That’s the joke.
This is a parody of twitter posts made by actual “anti DEI/woke” dipshits. The format is identical to their posts “fixing” modern female video game characters that don’t look like sex dolls.
“Huh, interesting. Why aren’t you supposed to look at the moon?”
Most people aren’t psychopaths and actually enjoy sharing their beliefs if you ask in a respectful manner.
Option 3. Get a job as part of the 5% of the population still employed in serving the various security apparatuses protecting the rich fucks – you could be a soldier, cop, or government official.
Better to be part of the boot than be the poor fuckers getting stepped on, right? You can sleep easily knowing you have it slightly better than the other 95% of the underclass.
You’re not wrong, but the idea that “plant based” is “safe” isn’t right either. Plants can create all kinds of horribly toxic, carcinogenic compounds – especially when burned or heated.
Wood smoke of all things is mildly carcinogenic and we cook our food with it.
Don’t forget that starship launch last year. The dumbass blew up a rocket and launched giant chunks of concrete onto people’s property because he’s a impatient child.
Which is hilarious, as the eponymous Culture is the epitome of luxury gay space anarchism. Pan-sexual, non-monogamous space hippies that can (and do) change their biological sex just by thinking about it. People so past the idea of “gender” that they consider giving any serious weight to the concept barbaric.
I know it’s a rhetorical question: but is Elon stupid or something?
Age and activity level absolutely effect how “tough” meat is. I’ve raised and cooked both heritage breed chickens and modern broilers. The former take 2-3 times as long to reach maturity, are far more active, and as a result are “tougher”. You can cook them just as fast a broiler, but the end result is going to be tough/chewy meat. The longer cooking time is needed to achieve equally tender meat.
It’s the difference between cooking a rib-eye and a brisket.
Modern bright lighting is great for daytime but one of the worst things we can do to ourselves in the evening or night. We absolutely did not evolve to be exposed to bright (particularly blue/white) light after the sun starts setting.
The best thing I did for my circadian rhythm was eliminate light in the bedroom and set up my lights to slowly shift to soft amber and dim in the evening. The trick is having it transition slowly so your eyes adjust and you don’t notice it.
My car had USB for Android Auto and it barely provides enough enough power to maintain my phone’s charge while in use.
Thankfully wireless charging makes that an easy problem to bypass.
Do you really need fast charging in public outlets?
I always bring my own charger or power pack with me for security and speed, but “yes”.
If I’m using a public outlet my device is nearly dead and I probably only have limited time to hang out and charge it.
There are jobs where it’s not feasible or practical to pay an actual human to do.
Human translators exist and are far superior to machine translators. Do you hire one every time you need something translated in a casual setting, or do you use something Google translate? LLMs are the reason modern machine translation is is infinitely better than it was a few years ago.
One of the major problems with LLMs is it’s a “boom”. People are rightfully soured on them as a concept because jackasses trying to make money lie about their capabilities and utility – never mind the ethics of obtaining the datasets used to train them.
They’re absolutely limited, flawed, and there are better solutions for most problems … but beyond the bullshit LLMs are a useful tool for some problems and they’re not going away.
One: that comment you deleted where you put the dollar sign ($) in the wrong spot – nobody does that.
Two: your “American English” (while excellent) sounds … off, when read aloud.
Three: you can read the following Shibboleth aloud and you’ll have no idea what it means:
ooh day ooh yay eek spay ig pay at in lay?
Lol. Yeah, exclude
opposing opinionsobnoxious, idiotic noise, go live in your liberal echo chamber
FTFY
Also, why do you have such a hardon for Trump when you aren’t an American?
So it is a racial slur, thanks for the confirmation
Yes, the notoriously racially homogeneous nation of Russia. Clearly it’s a race thing, and not a nationality thing. And clearly they’re talking about the entire ethnic “russian” population – not the state itself and its leadership.
Introduce a character that’s a teacher so sick of cellphones in their class they bought a jammer off the internet. Make that character the serial killer’s first victim.
Case in point: legalized marijuana. That said, my fear in regards to states defying laws is:
The former is particularly concerning as police and the national guard are predominately right-wing. My state passed the SAFE-T Act to address abuses in the police/justice system. Naturally, various police departments weren’t happy about this, and through obtuse interpretation of the act they’ll claim they can’t legally do vital parts of their job – something I’ve seen multiple times first hand. Refusing to do their job competently in response to MAGA terrorism isn’t hard to imagine.
The later gets tricky. Most of the states that would push back against unjust federal laws are also states that pay more in federal taxes than they receive in aid. The “obvious” solution withhold tax dollars going to the fed to make up the difference … which would be next to impossible in practice. Even if states mange to do it they’d be playing into Republican hands by defunding essential federal services.
