I’m sure they’re shaking in their boots from the prospect of a 10 million dollar fine.
Man who is heavily funded by AI research and use continues pushing that AI is necessary.
Definitely not “Crowdstrike tarnished their brand so much because no one understands what kernel level is that no one is going to get kernel level access”
the bill that was passed essentially said that warrants are no longer needed for data because “save the children”.
I do, and I’ve seen about half and half. Half of the companies are rushing to pay Microsoft gobs of money, the other half are like consumers trying as hard as they can to turn it off.
That’s what annoyed me about minio. Started super crazy simple to set up, but I missed two updates and came back to AWS levels of mandatory configuration. Ffs I chose you because you were simple, not because I needed to replace s3
There’s always the next factory, THAT one will be 100% efficient!
You know, like how money works
This is one of those things I stay out of.
It’s not healthy for kids. But they enjoy it. But it’s definitely used by China for spying. But people should know better than to put private stuff on there.
However the bill I’m against, they put a lot of internet spying in there too in the name of saving the children. So…
Yeah we’ll just see how it turns out
I don’t think it’s that simple. Cortana came out too late, well after Google and Apple’s assistants had fully taken over. Their speakers were large and clunky. To compensate they forced it in front of everyone, adding it to everything just like copilot. it’s just their poor approach to marketing, they think shotgunning it everywhere is a smart idea.
I think they’re going to face the same issues with copilot. I think it may have moderate success, but everyone I know goes to ChatGPT, they don’t use copilot. I see a lot of resentment too about it popping up everywhere, and not just from the super techie people here - but average users too. It just feels the same as Cortana. The problem is that it is cool tech, they just don’t understand how to market it well. ChatGPT is simple, it’s cool, it’s right there when you need it. Microsoft makes their products somehow always uncool, not fun to work with, and annoying.
I read fellowship after seeing the movie, the movie is what got me into the books and I read all of them as soon as I was done with the Fellowship movie because I had to know what happened, and I was like, 12. Anyway, it made it really interesting to me because I was like 17 YEARS?! Gandalf was gone for YEARS?! Then he just showed up again one day and was like “hey remember me it’s been 17 years anyway the end of the world is coming and you gotta fuck off to Mordor now”.
Glad it can be of use!
It’s meant to be a stretch. Star trek has always done sci-fi twists on modern day problems. It’s meant to be “Why is it not weird for this sci-fi thing to happen, but weird when it happens in our every day life.”
Terry Farrell also knew full well when she joined that she would be playing a non-binary role through the show, and did so proudly. They also pretty much call it out directly in “Rejoined” when Dax comes in contact with her previous lover.
I don’t care for google’s latest tech pet project. I would downvote it on reddit or here. It’s not revolutionary tech, and knowing Google they’ll decommission it in 2 years anyway. So, I downvote.
I up vote things I find interesting. This is not one of those things.
Looking at your past posts you have a lot of good ones, the elastic one is really interesting. Idk why you’re upset about one dude, overall your posts have been good. Don’t let one unpopular post rile you up.
It’s been Microsoft’s standard practice. Instead of focusing on their core item - games and the game experience - they keep following the latest gimmicks and trying to shove random products in where no one wants them.
A few examples:
All awesome, but remember that sharing is up to the developer. So mostly valve and indie games will allow this. Don’t expect the new dragon age, any ea, Ubisoft, or other greedy studio to allow this.
Fair warning, you’ll need a metric fuckload of Quickwire
Personally, I am playing Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 on easy. They come from an era where if you aren’t suffering through it then you must really suck. Personally, I don’t have time to fight the same boss for an hour only to die when he gets down to the last 5% and start over again, I only get a few hours after work to game. However, the story is honestly pretty good, and I recommend them - if you play on easy.
