Windows has nothing to do with it. They are talking about software applications that were made for x86. Stuff like Adobe CC, etc.
Windows runs on ARM (and has for a decade) and the apps available in the Windows app store run on ARM.
Those cyclists are supposed to stop for the red light too. I’m willing to bet a big chunk of those deaths were cyclists either blasting though the light, riding against the flow of traffic, or both.
Erowid has been doing the exact same thing for three decades.
They made a full revolution, not just a slight turn.
This “technology” community is quickly becoming just as bad as the one on reddit.
The insane ravings and personal drama of a lunatic billionaire isn’t news about technology.
Even news about Twitter itself isn’t technology news. Twitter is a business that sells services. They don’t make or contribute to any types of technology.
The only thing that Twitter technology related is that their business operates on the internet. That’s it. Chewy.com or NYTimes.com is just as much “technology” as Twitter is.
That’s a grapefruit, or possibly a pomelo.

Every single game I bought up to the PS4 could be played without any downloads.
But they still couldn’t be played directly from the disk, which is part of the point of the comment you replied to. Every single game I have for PS3 requires it to be installed onto the console in order to play it.
They have to make sure grandma in the boonies can make little Timmy’s game work right out of the box.
…and yet, most AAA games cannot do this, and require you to go online and download the game assets after you put the disk in the console.
You should check prices on the 2GB SD cards not the high end ones because the disks usually contain that much or less. Most AAA games only have the game INSTALLER on the disk, and still require you to download the game in order to play it.
Your proton account is susceptible to the same problem if your password gets compromised and you don’t have a backup access method registered.
Nonsense. You don’t even have to use Google’s authenticator when setting up MFA. You can just scan the QR it gives you using any authenticator app. You can use Microsoft Authenticator, Duo Mobile, Lastpass, WatchGaurd, etc, etc
Easy to fix with an extension. Shortkeys
Lemmy.world has a voyager instance right on their server. https://m.lemmy.world
There’s already a new client that’s way more efficient on resources and more stable. It’s been in beta for a while and is available to turn on for users. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-blog/enable-the-new-microsoft-teams-toggle-for-your-organization/ba-p/3781345
There’s still some features that haven’t been ported over including managing users of a Teams group. You have to go out to the web interface to do that right now. For the normal day-to-day stuff like messaging and meetings it’s been better in my experience.
NT was 4.0 and the same basic operating system as 95 but with server services.
