probably yep. Also installing an aftermarket gps connected to ignition could have helped avoid this: the gps would warn the owner of the car unexpected movement but also would shutdown the car when it leaves a predetermined area set by the owner

tbh i dont know whats the fascination behind keyless: Wouldn’t have cost much for BMW to hire a hacker and patch this vulnerability, but its BMW! (and the car makers who support such tech)

to be honest like the way the french government is trying to violate other’s peoeple privacy, also sharing info about bad tenants- and bad landlors too- is of big importance for both sides, and in some regards certain countries are already ahead in this context by using metrics among them a social score. Using an app like Airbnb to find a (well reviewed) tenant and then charge him/her regular rent could have helped prevent this but i am no landlord, so …
it is functional, but they close it so they could cut costs (cleaning, water). They pull this at night, when regulatory body is off-duty
exactly. pee is not really a problem, and the odor could still be manageable with minimum sanitation. A coffeeshop with open wc would earn its owner a lot of love points, and probably more clients too.
where i live we have minimal tap water flow at night due to drought, and coffeeshops like to pull this ‘wc is closed since water is off’ and now i am stuck with a ton of caffeine filling my bladder :(
