TL notes:

  1. In the first image, the artist said “If I drew a naked Satori” at the bottom left, but the original text could also be translated as “If I drew Satori without clothes”. Given that only the top half of Satori is visible, it’s possible that the artist was referring only to her top (e.g. “If I drew a topless Satori, this would be classified R18, so that’s why she’s wearing clothes”) rather than her wearing clothes down there as well (while doing it).
  2. The “Resist” button in the second image is a reference to trying to resist a horny 2hu girl in eraTohoTW after she has “pushed you down”. Players can also click “Surrender” and let the girl do what they want with them (or push them down themselves).
  3. In the last speech bubble of the last image, the original text for “stupid c*ck” is closer to “stupid censored-stick” or “stupid censored-rod”. So an alternate translation for “c*ck” might be “meatrod” or something like that.

Artist Commentary: If she was drawn without clothes, it would be classified R18, that’s why Satori was drawn with clothes. I’ll post some versions or sketches without dialog boxes on my twitter account. Thank you for your likes and follows. Might make english version later.

    Ohey, hello there. There isn’t as much activity here on Lemmy (or at least, on Burggit, not sure how things are on other branches), but welcome to Lemmy anyway~

    Yea, the eraTohoTW games aren’t fully translated, unfortunately. There are a few spinoff/modded versions (AnonTW and PedyTW are the most notable forks of the original game), I don’t know if they have more character dialogue translated, but it’s possible. You could try discussions on the hgames community, they might be more knowledgeable there.

    As for a favorite game, hmm. I’ve tried all the games in the tierlist here, but I’ve only ever played eraTohoK, eraTohoTW, and ReverseTentaclePalace for an extended amount of time - couldn’t really get into the feel of the other games. I don’t have a particular favorite, but each game is good for someone that wants to roleplay a particular character morality type:

    eraTohoTW: If you wanna have a “good and wholesome” session (basically only use timestop for traveling between places, don’t use it to rape others)

    eraTohoK: If you wanna have a mixed/neutral session (you’re free to be as noble and helpful or depraved as you want)

    ReverseTentaclePalance: If you’ve read too many tentacle doujins and you wanna be the bad tentacle monster

    In general I don’t find joy from being mean/hurtful/harmful to the girls, so even in eraTohoK, it’s more fun and meaningful to take care of the girls (e.g. giving them therapy, being kind to them, helping them overcome past trauma) rather than doing bad things to them. Even in RTP, there are some options which are more merciful and kind to the captured girls than others.

    “The real world’s shit enough as it is, so there’s no need to make it shittier for others even in a game.” - that’s what I think.

    Anyway, that’s a rough overview of the games. If you’re tired of the grind, just use cheats to skip the grind and have the gaming experience you want (e.g. infinite money, making it easy to raise favorability, allowing harems, etc.) Some of the games can be pretty grindy, after all.
