I was in Iceland recently and only saw one restaurant serving whale meat and even that looked like an “unusual meats” type of gimmick place. But I (and seemingly every other visitor) spent money to go whale watching. So, this isn’t even a decision that maximizes the whales’ value to Iceland.

Dammit Iceland!
