Anyone here watching Silo? The 8th episode just aired which means there are two episodes left. So far I’ve been enjoying this a lot despite some people claiming it was a little slow in the middle. It’s only 10 episodes long so even the whole thing goes by pretty quick.

Foundation has it’s moments, anything to do with the three clones is pretty interesting. But overall a pretty mid show, especially the last part on the Foundation which just turns into boring action

Nobody has mentioned this yet, but the comedy platonic is really friggin good. If doesn’t look good in the trailers, but it has been a really fun show to watch. I look forward to each new episode.

This show has been so good, so much fun. Such a great mystery thing going on. I saw a great interview with the author on the Ty and That Guy podcast (which I highly recommend), and he’s super interesting.

Purchased the first book and I’m excited to start it.

Like another commenter I keep forgetting to watch it because I don’t check Apple TV often. I loved the books when I read them years ago and was glad to see it got renewed. I think I found some weekend plans

So far I’m digging it, but I’m concerned that this slow burn first season will just fall flat season 2 like a lot of mystery dramas do. Haven’t read the books or anything though

I keep forgetting about it because I don’t look on Apple TV much. I love Rebecca Ferguson and Rashida Jones so I should. Thanks for the reminder!

Just finished the 8th episode. So good! I was a little iffy about the show for a little while, but last 3 episodes have been great.

Wool, Shift and Dust are the names of the books. I believe the first season of the TV series will only get part of the way through Wool.

I see from another comment that you haven’ read the books yet. I don’t know if you have avoided spoilers, so I won’t g8ve anything away here BUT:

The books, especially Wool, takes a long time to build up to revealing anything big to help the reader understand how the characters ended up where they were. I fact it’s not until the second book that you start getting to the meat and potatoes of the story.

Given that, I’d suggest you get into Wool if you don’t want the series to possibly spoil the big reveal for you.

Honestly that makes the weird pacing of this season make a bit more sense. Not that I didn’t like it, just that it was outside of the typical narrative arc. For instance, basically introducing the main character on what was it? episode 2 or 3? Almost like the first two episodes were build ups to the setting and lore. Then show turns into a scifi noir.

There’s also the three prequel books in the Shift series (Legacy, Order, and Pact) that are really good. Explains how the silo came about to begin with.

I’m enjoying the series, and haven’t found it dragging.

I’ve been holding off buying Wool before the season finishes its release, but expect to chew through them quickly once it’s done.

I am though somewhat annoyed with the cliffhanger at the end of every episode. I have to wonder if this is something Apple executives have required, but it’s tiresome.

The cliffhangers are quite blatant. Are they worried people will just stop watching if the main character isn’t in the middle of jumping off something? This level of cliffhangerness seems kind of outdated. Thankfully I am patient so it doesn’t matter too much.

Cliffhangers are HUGE factor in determining whether I will watch a series week-to-week or wait-then-binge. I just watched Silo eps. 1-8 this past weekend…it’s a good show, but I wish I would have waited another two weeks, tbh.

Just saw the pilot yesterday and was surprised how quick it moves for a mystery. Hope it keeps up the momentum as these things can become a bore. Maybe I should read the book(s?)
