A promising description:
Welcome to a stunning and spacious property located in the serene and picturesque community of Ocklawaha, FL. This beautiful home boasts a remarkable curb appeal, thanks to its landscape, large front yard, and front porch
Would you dare to request a tour?
To be fair they do tell later in the description that an investor can just use the lot to park their mobile home.
The outside made me a bit uncomfortable, but with all that fresh drywall inside I can see now that it is a well maintained property with no underlying/hidden issues.
I can see two problems with this property.
-
You’d have to live in Florida
-
It’d cost an equal amount to clear the land of used needles
-
It’s not a crack house, it’s a crack home.
LOL… Should be advertised a land-only sale with a house that needs demolished.
It’s $58k for 1 acre (0.4ha) of suburban land with development potential.
The shack is just a demo cost.
There are also 2 wells, and, a septic system on the property, with the ability to connect to power nearby.
With no water pipes, plumbing or electricity you get a suburb with rural experience. Two years ago it was sold for $18,000 and it’s on the market since, with some negotiation you can probably cut the requested price in half
If the mattress is included, it’s a deal!
As it looks like hassle to get it down from that… mezzanine/shelf sleeping arrangement, I imagine it’s staying.
Looks like a meth lab out in the middle of a swamp lol
It almost looks to me like a renovation that ran out of money, and then either had a squatter for a few months or the person lived there on a shoestring budget for a few months
To me it looks like there was a meth lab explosion, then the owner got in there and started doing some repairs but then gave up halfway and decided to just sell it off
The mold or electrical fire after putting up drywall would have really hurt from a diy reno perspective
Well see, the siding needs to be replaced and then you’ll notice that layer between it and the studs needs replacing. You can check the wires then. But don’t wait to long replacing the wiring, Florida weather is coming soon. We still need to…
When I was getting my house ready to sell after a significant amount of damages, I had everything in a pod so I could clear it out. I lived for 3 months with an air mattress, a desk make out of scrap lumber, and the one tv that wasn’t smashed propped up on a chair that was only somewhat wobbly. Even though I ordered new appliances the day they were destroyed, the good old supply chain issues left me without a stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I ate a lot of pizza rolls cooked in an air fryer I borrowed. I did get a $20 toaster over to cook frozen pizza.
holy shit a loft
But you can convert it into your “own private hunting camp” on it’s ENTIRE 1.01 acres of land!
Ocklawaha looks like someone either couldn’t remember how to spell Oklahoma and gave up halfway through, or it’s the “you can copy my homework but change it slightly so we don’t get caught” spelling.
Like a lot of places in the US, it could be bastardized from local indigenous languages.
The word “ocklawaha” comes from the Seminole/Creek tribes who once settled along the river. There are at least seven possible definitions, including “muddy, crooked river” and “bad crossing.”
Bit of a fixer upper, isn’t she?
Lots of “potential!”
If the price was right, i might live there.
Does that include demo costs?
I think the tree next to that hacked together shed is probably safer to live in
How much could a box of matches cost?
It’s one box of matches deadbeef, what could it cost, $10?
/salute
The word ‘remarkable’ is doing a lot of lifting there.
Looks like a stiff breeze would blow it over
